I originally thought this was a good manga. I read the first few chapters and really enjoyed a guy hating girl. I assumed we'd eventually find out the reason for this phobia, and perhaps see her eventually overcome it. However the story develops in such a way, that her phobia becomes a joke. Her dislike of guys is cured by 1 guy, who she falls in love with. But the way it works the message seems to be, treat a girl like crap, and she'll like you. Because thats precisely what happens. The guy is a dirtbag, constantly belittling her, and of course, this makes her fall in love with him. This kind of storytelling is just too irritating. Once it becomes obvious which way the story is going, its was longer worth bothering with. Once the main character loses her guy phobia, theres nothing left to the story. You might read the first few chapters, but after about chapter 6, I'd say just drop it. Its no longer worth your time.

I am the type of person that believes love can happen to anyone, but I also refuse to believe people have no control over their emotions.

Chikai has no other redeeming qualities that interest Hanabi besides lemony breath. I cannot accept that she has no ability to control her own actions and that her feelings escalate despite her hatred and being constantly mistreated.

I found the teacher mysterious and could ignore her blatant sexual harassment because it made for unique circumstances. But Hanabi acts in a way that I find completely devoid of reason, emotion or logic. Using a type of androphobia as a plot device is useless if she falls for the first guy that stalks her. I stopped by chapter 9 because she is an idiot.

wellllll at first i think this manga is kinda funny. the way Chikai trying so hard to make hanabi charmed by his handsomeness. but then when hanabi start to fall in love with chikai, chikai friend revealed that chikai already have this beautiful and nice girlfriend. To add it up Chikai seems to be very affectionate to this girl. What i am saying is.. why the hell is he trying so hard to make hanabi fall in love with him but in the end he was just gonna go and reject her too? He treats her like crap and it is not cool at all!!!
well i know and i thinks everybody knows since this is a shoujo manga, that in the end the guy n girl MC will end up together but still doesnt this guy kinda pissed u off? i was like DUDE just dont go near her anymore. What makes me more annoyed that this girl is saying 'falling in love is like riding a bicycle? without a break' GO FIX THAT BICYCLE!!!! i think stupidity is not cute and is need to be cured. what was it with this girl knowing this boy already have a girlfriend but still feeling above the clouds and very accepting to her pain. i mean does she even realize that she is a third wheel? duh!!! well maybe later on we'll find out the guy MC girlfriend is a jerk or maybe she is sick. but still she is a third whell and will be kicked by a horse later on by meddling in someone else love!!!!

I think I would have liked this series if there was a MORE valid reason as to why the heroine hates guys. Unfortunately, the reason turns out to be so shallow and vapid, the character's actions are so unbelievable. I just don't understand where all this hatred is coming from. I mean hatred is a big word, and from what I've read so far, the main girl doesn't really 'hate' guys, she just dislike certain attributes of guys which surprise surprise is not present in the main lead, hence why she feels attracted to him. The girl in my opinion is not a strong heroine; her obstinate character is annoying instead of what it should be in manga such as this, endearing in a quirky sort of way. Well, anyway, this is just manga after all, I can just stop reading if I don't like what I'm seeing and that is actually what I'm doing with this manga. Not recommended.

The transition from man-hater to girl-in-love was not smoothly done. Hanabi isn't well-developed enough to carry the weight of a phobia and all we see of the male lead is his jerky side. Any good in him is assumed. He treats her badly; she falls into her emotions and discards rational thought.

Emotional diarrhea seems like a pothole a lot of shoujo manga falls into. Shame.

I liked the guy hating phobia girl and her problems. I did not even mind the main guy. It started out good and then at one event you end up killing all of the constancy of the characters. He taunts her saying that he sees that she is prejudice by gender and she denies it. She should have boldly said "YES, I HATE GUYS." This one event killed the consistency of her character, opening the easy path for Chikai to win her over. A phobia or strong hatred is not going to be that easy to overcome. I find it very distasteful that her character was remodeled midstream.

Additionally the whole thing with the teacher was plain stupid. In her case she should have just ignored the assignment and taken a failing grade and then gone to the principle and complained.

I see where the people that say that the guy is being a jerk and her falling in love with him anyway are coming from but I dont think thats whats going on. From what I saw, he fell in love with her too and hasn't realized it yet and uses the excuse of teasing her to be around her more. I've enjoyed the series so far and look forward to more chapters. Also the artwork is really good.

the beginning is interesting, but lately it's really get on my nerve..
It's start with the love match-making class, (It's silly).
And the teacher it's awfully trying to make her students fall in love and have a match. With deadline 1 week What a miserable story, it's totally wrong. It's up to each person who where when they will fall in love, or if they need a help...
Gosh, and she's spying too.
Then directly involved to the student's "love" problem.
If i were to put into that class, i wanna quit ASAP (note: but she doesn't let anyone who didn't want to participate to quit). I don't wanna get involved to that kind of teacher.
Basically step into human rights.... horrible2...
And what does the subject she teach? How to xxxxx a guy on Christmas?? Where in the world there will be a school to teach their students about that topic... I know it's just a manga, but this one is a mess. because it's not fantasy manga, nor comedy manga. But the story is really weird...
I don't think this story would get serious... or at least (that i can hope), dramatic.... With such idea that was really horrible, I imagine if that love teacher exist in real life. To write the guy's name I like on a paper to submit it to the teacher OMG. And what will happen next?? Call my parents? OMG OMG
It's a nightmare!
I don't think this would include to my reading lists.
