Shoujo at its worst

The story of an abusive boy called Shoei (Jinnai - family name), mostly called Prince, his target girl Mio and their journey through a ridiculous environment of stupid men/boys and stupid events with smut thrown in every now and then.
Honestly every male in this manga has issues that make them arses, the only half decent guy in there is a pimp. >.>
Which left me, as reader, with only the females, and there's only Mio and few side characters as her mother and some maids which can be ignored since their presence is too insignificant.
I found Mio a likable character, who has at least common sense and a nice personality but is weak and gives in easily. Another flaw is that she's easy to arouse and thus falls for the "Prince" who treats her often poorly. But after all it's a smut manga. But it wasn't worth reading for the smut part either.

If you want smut read the Forbidden Love Mangas (#1: Kindan no Koi wo Shiyou, #2: Zoku - Kindan no Koi wo Shiyou, #3: Kindan no Koi de Ikou - cliché but likable) or if you want drama on top try Hapi Mari - it's labeled Josei but its content is more Shoujo.

Now back to Desire Climax - The events and story are like from a bad soap opera*. It's even for a Shoujo too much. If at least the main male would be likable but I really wished Mio would just kick is head and run for it. Sayonara my Prince.
I only finished it because it was on my reading list.

*Spoiler:

We have kidnapping in childhood there which is of course forgotten and remembered later. After they fall in love it turns out Mio is the half-sister of Shoei. Just to have it later turn out - after they had sex - that it isn't her but her brother who is the unrelated one to her family and the half-brother of Shoei.
The gardener suddenly reveals his hatred and his scheming to take down the Jinnai family. As he is the son of the man who kidnapped Mio in her childhood and did a suicide afterwards. Daddy died and the Jinnais took the boy in who later wants to destroy the family... no words, honestly what a stupid turn of events.
The brother, now not-brother, makes harassing moves towards his "sister" (eeeh) and sees Shoei as his rival but the one who suffers is always Mio. The father of Shoei and the half-brother, whose name I've forgotten despite I just finished the manga last night, lol, well the father seems to be nice but he ignores a lot even when he knows most stuff and lets things just happen, what a shitty parent.
Then there's the glasses fetish... almost like Horatio from CSI Miami... glasses on, glasses off, glasses on, glasses off etc.

If you want to know the end. Well mom comes out of the hospital, of course this is made as a dramatic story element as well. She wants Mio out of this environment and moves with her and the not-brother far away. Well, since Mio is now totally in love with Shoei it is too late for such actions. Shoei follows her. End.

Desire climax has been on my to read list for a long time. I kept stalling cuz I felt id read too many master servant type stories. I finally started reading it and to be honest im confused. I dont get the freaking glasses part. At first I thought it was kinda cute but its too repetitive. Overall the story seems very weak. It couldve been so much better. And Mio is too weak. I mean she hates the guy and suddenly she loves him. For so many years shes been seeing the 'Prince' and yet she never remembered but one day it suddenly comes to her, like what?
The story feels like a really cheap version of the kdrama Kill me Heal me without the DID of course
I wish Mio were a little more stronger. I wouldve probably bothered to finish to series then

Well. I don't hate it. The art is decent enough. I would like it more if Mio wasn't getting sexually assaulted every chapter, and then blowing it off like it wasn't, I dunno... SEXUAL ASSAULT?

Didn't bother to finish it.

The glasses the glasses!!!

The story was all about this obsession with this dudes glasses! It was disappointing. There are so many parts that had great potential in making the story very deep and sexy.. But was so very easily messed up. And everything was rush rush rush while still going nowhere. This manga had not 8 but fourtysomething chapters to get going but it just droned on and on. The artistry was nice for the girls but half done with the guys. Kinda nice upper face with frog lips?!

starts with this school girl kinda wondering about the master of her land. Then shorty he tried to do perverted stuff with her for was seems to be no reason. She then becomes a maid and I'm annoyed already at this point. He keeps wanting to do perverted stuff . And she really doesn't want to have that relation with him she should stop letting him suck on her tit so easily. She's so stupid with her games. He then Chases her everywhere while she acts like a horny bitch. Slapping and kicking everyone all the damn time. Then she likes him but she keeps chasing after other people that keep wanting to hurt him. She runs over him he whole time. He's stupid for liking her and she is stupid for being a bitch to him. In the end she moves away and he joins her. The end

Not great but pretty good

All things considered, this was a pretty good well written story of drama. The story was threaded in a way that kept me going as long. This only worked for me since I didn't get myself too worked up over the excessive sexual harassment scenes as being offensive but part of the melodrama. I actually tried reading this manga before multiples but it was the sexual harassment that stopped me in my tracks every time except this time when I finally read it to the end. Getting passed that exposed me to a relatively good story. However, the incident regarding the little brother ends a bit forcefully in my opinion; like it never happened.

I love the climax where they thought the baby in the picture is Mio, I'm like ohhoho, what is this, sibling love? But phew, it went back on track for me, that baby was Hinata...phew...In the beginning I kept wondering if The Prince actually really love her, but as the story progresses, ya he loves her much~ I kinda don't like them doing it outside...haha. Overall, the story is captivating, I'm always anticipating how it'll all turned out to be, and the drawing is ok ^^

Weak heroine ugh

This is one of the first smut shoujo titles I've read. It introduced me to how shoujo mangas depict intimate scenes that are rather vulgar or forceful. The premise is your usual master-servant love affair and the male lead is an attractive jerk. I could have put up with that run-of-the-mill smut scenario if it were not for the weak and shallow Mio. I could understand the helplessness of her character but she's too hung up on the Prince. I didn't bother finishing it because of her flimsy personality.

IMO...it got annoying...really annoying since the "potentially sibling arc". I really thought the main girl had a decent strong personality, but haha, nope, it turns out she's almost useless without her f**king boyfriend. =3= I actually didn't mind the guy's personality that much, well, apart from being douchey and completely unrealistic.

Plot-wise, it's nothing too obnoxious but nowhere near great. It's a fairly decent smut manga. For me, it's a guilty pleasure at best.

Mio is one of my favorite heroines. im into luke warm protagonists where she isnt too strong or too weak. i have seen MUCH weaker before and normal people that arent too extraordinary are okay. whoever thinks she's weak is probably going of the "shoujo girls strength scale". I don't think she's stupid to want her family to stay together. It's just heartless not to. I'm not gonna lie about the cliches there's a lot of them but i still love it. this was my very first smut and as of lately i decided it to re-read it and i still adore it even though i have more experience with manga. i liked the twists and it wasnt messy in any way to me unless you weren't reading it properly. it jumps a bit but i dont think there needed to be growth in certain areas because the main goal was to focus on the present rather than dwell on the past. I love the art too. this is personal interest but i love myself a megane and possessive lovers and i think i got it in this!

Of course I dont think that Prince should have been so mean and showed more love towards Mio but as far i know that's MY ONLY COMPLAINT. This is the manga that gave me my smut obsession, and i will defend it with any means necessary!!!!!

Average Smut!

IMO the plot, art, romance are better than a Shinjo Mayu or Minami Kanan Work. Plus as long as the girl did not experience rape or forced to sleep with some side character who hate the main guy, I'll give it an average score for a smut manga. However if its a normal shoujo I'll probably give it a lower score of 5 or 6 due to some many annoying instances. Anyway to those who want to read good graphic SMUT I suggest you read DS. To those who hate smut please avoid this manga cause you'll definitely hate the sumissiveness of main heroine & the over the top obsessiveness of the guy.
