What is even happening?

The plot is so damn confusing. One moment a character dies and in the next panel they’re back alive. Literally nothing makes sense, most of the story arcs were rushed and not given a proper conclusion and explanation. I really felt like I wasted my life on this manhwa. The story wasn’t that well maintained and most of what’s happening literally makes zero sense. The only thought that passed my mind as I read this was “what is even happening?”
CONCLUSION=
Overall, I’m super disappointed with this manhwa and I expected a lot more. The amazing art style doesn’t excuse the lame excuse of a plot this manhwa has. Despite this being quite a lame manhwa, Carnby (the author) is still extremely talented, they have made MASTERPIECES like, ‘the city of the dead sorcerer’ and ‘bastard’ which are thousands better than this manhwa.

And as if it couldn’t get sloppier, the ending arc was just so damn nonsensical, like it makes absolutely no sense. One moment the guy was their friend, then he tried to kill them, then he saved them again, then he got trapped in a satellite!? What? How?! Like a space satellite?? Like what is even happening?? They were on earth like legit a second ago?? Like bruh, he fell off a cliff after saving his ‘friends’ who he just tried to kill a moment ago, then he ends up IN A SPACE SATELLITE? WHAT IS GOING ON? THEN HE SAID HE WANTS REVENGE ON HIS FRIENDS WHO MOVED ON FROM HIS DEATH WHEN HE TRIED TO KILL THEM? Ugh legit so damn confusing and frustrating.
Honestly leaving a bad rating on this manhwa is pretty sad, since I started reading this because I was (and still am) a HUGE fan of the author of this story, Carnby. It’s pretty disappointing to read this flop of a manhwa when I’ve read all of their other works. Also, phenomenal art style was wasted on the plenty loopholes and confusing scenes in this manhwa.

the beginning was certainly interesting. as the story developed more, it felt as if there were a lot of unexplained things or points the author should have gone into more depth with. the ending was lowkey straight booty. but if ur bored, give it a read!

This started as a thrilling horror story, but quickly devolved into a cookie-cutter shounen story (except for some redshirt deaths) with questionable pacing and a weird story progression.
As the creators explain, the manhwa was based on a video game that only lasted a few months, so it's not exactly surprising that the story developed in a disappointing fashion, but it still means I can't recommend this whatsoever.

Really fun and entertaining read! Touches on the imperfections of humans, and every character has a weakness. The ending...really got me. But apparently this was based on a game that failed in a few months, while this series lasted over a year, so the author was rushed to complete it as well. Thankfully they didn't drop it though, because worth the read.

It's hard to find this completed anywhere but Lezhin. The art is a true 9/10 for me. It's a bit more mature than a regular shounen, but maybe not quite the material of a seinen. The main character, Yoon Phil, is a pretty realistic but overpowered character. He's scared of the situation at hand and has a pretty straightforward moral compass. Unsurprisingly, his "partner", Song Ji You, is the real gold of this webcomic. An unrepentant serial killer, Song Ji You is suddenly tasked with helping to save the world alongside Yoon Phil. His brutality, casual mockery, and plain insanity draw you in instantly. It's hard to not like him despite his cold blooded history that's stated outright from the very beginning.
Story wise, it's not bad, but they could do better. It feels near the end the mangaka got tired and just wanted to wrap things up; I was unsatisfied with that. Still, Carnby is amazing. If you're looking for more of their work, I highly recommend Bastard and Sweet Home.
