MC is insane, evil, and a douchebag, and that's the funny part.

It's the revenge story of a MC who became a psychopath, and that's okay, it's fun.

If you like the power of friendship and Hero who are constantly being walked on by their comrades because they're nice guys, I don't recommend it to you.

If you can't enjoy a manga where you aren't supposed to self-insert as the MC, maybe this isn't for you.

The MC starts out already "broken" from 10 years of off-screen adventures and the very reason he got broken by that is because he had an unconventional mindset from the very beginning, so it might be hard for a normal reader to empathize with him.
You're not supposed to think "what would I do in his place", rather "what would he do". Unlike a normal isekai, this isn't meant to indulge the reader's escapism, if that's what you want there's a variety of harem/mary sue or even otome isekai for you out there. This isn't it.
My bad explanation attempts aside, it's a great story.
10/10, read multiple times and about to read again. Can't wait for the next season.

It's a pretty original isekai that parodises the genre and the characters it portrays, putting common sense into contrast with common isekai knowledge. It shows a bastard MC subverting all the rules with actually smart and surprising solutions, while there is a balance built on contrast between him being an OP character and him never managing to reach his goal because he is trying to defeat the laws of the world itself, fighting the system from within with anger and cunning. A lot of fine black humor. DEFINITELY underrated.

This series is such a fun read, Mc is basically Eric CartMan from southpark if Cartman was reincarnated into an isekai world without technology. He is incapable of thinking anything he does is wrong. And everything he does, he tries to justify it and find a silver lining.

In other stories like this where the MC goes around genociding and killing everything in his way, it will be presented as him being a badass uncaring anti-hero type of MC. But in this, the MC is portrayed in more of a comedic tone than him being cool killing people, he literally just kills anything in sight that gives him exp and hopes for the best, not seeing the potential consequences of his actions.

I don't think MC's a psychopath. Besides in his first playthrough, where he kills his team members because they were annoying him. After resetting he KNOWS they are NPC's after he resets on his 2nd turn, so he doesn't really care about them dying and only sees them as characters in a game who aren't real.

The story is underrated, because the MC of this story is very dark and self centered.
It consists of equal parts story telling, humor and action.
Not recommended if you have a stock up your a** and only like mainstream entertainment.

As in title, main plot is typical isekai story with little time travel taste (send to another world, kill demon, save princess) not good, not bad just average. It would be pretty good to read if not MC which is complete moron and thrash as person, he don't respect life and has no value, typical sociopath. If we would replace MC with anybody else (probably there can't be worse) then I would give (7/10). World, monsters, and people are drawn pretty nice plus it full color.
Summarizing, if you like this kind of genre (isekai, time travel) and you don't mind what value represent MC then feel free to read, but if you can't stand stupid MC then it totally waste of time.

The problem with this MC isn't that he's evil. Having a villain as the protagonist is nothing new. The issue with this manga is that the MC is a whiny little bitch on top of being evil. He is a narcissistic sociopath; nothing is ever MC's fault. It's always everyone else's fault. He's like the annoying evil antagonist in mangas. You know, the one that is the first enemy the MC comes across, quickly gets defeated, and is never seen again. Unfortunately, we're stuck with this MC.

Also, for some stupid reason we're barely given any information about the MC's previous 10 years, so we have no idea why this MC is acting like such an evil snot and wanting to kill everyone. Slowly feeding us information about it over the chapters is a horrible decision for a manga like this. At least give us the reasons for why he's an evil little fucker at the beginning of the manga, because glossing over the previous 10 years and giving us barely any information is so fucking stupid. It looks like MC just acts like a psycho piece of shit for no reason.

The dumb thing is that he was sent back in time because of the way he behaved previously, and he ends up acting even worse the second time around. This MC isn't an anti-hero. Just look at his expressions when he's killing people. That tag needs to be removed, seriously. Whoever added it is a fucking moron and clearly doesn't know what an anti-hero is. Anti-heroes don't go around butchering slaves and elves just to get experience; especially not with a shit-eating grin that this MC always wears when he is killing people. He's one evil fucker. "Villain Protagonist" is the correct tag.

The last reviewer said... "Morally gray characters" This dude is far from morally gray, he is pitch black. He actually went to a black market to buy slaves with a high level so he could kill them to level up, and you call him "morally gray" Jesus Christ. And the guy a few posts above saying MC isn't a psychopath and that he knows they are NPCs. What are you reading because in what I read he never once thinks or says they are NPCs. Haha, I think you need to start over from the beginning. Look at his smile after he kills the elf in the auction house. Tell me he is not completely fucking nuts. "They annoyed me so I killed them." "Oh they didn't like me in the preview iteration, so I'm gonna kill them." Anyone saying MC isn't a full-blown psychopath is just as big of a moron as the MC.
"I usually like smart characters" Did you even read the same thing as I did? Where exactly is this smart character you're talking about? Definitely not this guy that was sent back in time to learn from his mistakes and ended up just being twice as worse. He knows that the only way to be sent back to Earth is to behave at least somewhat according to what is expected, yet he just ignores that and does whatever he wants. He even has no idea what they will do if he fails their assessment again. He's a moron.

Then I think you'd be fine with this protagonist and like this story.

If you do not like morally gray characters that aren't full on goody two shoes, then I suggest you read other isekai ones like uh.. I dunno. Something else. Haha.

I usually like smart characters.

The theme of the manga is a parody of classic action/fantasy works: we have a baddass antihero protagonist who kicks asses with whatever means
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
even by killing his "friends" that would have been in his way
So if you are looking for some "power of friendship" or "I have to save a world I don't have anything to do with" *cough* PZcolo *cough* this is not your match.
Also if you get reasonably tired of the loop plot, wich I am not since is higly original, there is going to be a turn point where it all converges into a main story (in wich the protagonist doesn't want to be involved *laughs*).

Also highly recommended is the novel.
