She vows revenge, and she throws away her past in order to become "Silver," the perfect woman. With a new face, and a new lease on life, she will turn the tables on the man whom she once loved so that this time, it is he who will be left with nothing.

Actual revenge story arc is too short
Rating: 6.7 / 10.0

I hoped for a nice and partly cruel revenge story and the beginning is promising. But then the first fail, the flashback story, introducing everybody and everything, takes way too long with lots of unnecessary details that drags it until I only flipped through the panels until the school story was over.
I chose a Josei manga to esp. not read about school, students and their cliche problems.

However it has a lot of nice turns, (bad ones too). Remains over all predictable. The revenge story arc was very much to my taste. 8.5 points for that. Some things backfired or didnt work out which is good because it makes it more real.
But it was too short, too little and not desperate enough.
I wonder whether the past story was actually longer, as the Silver revenge story was often interrupted. Unfortunately.

The second love interest, namely Jake, annoyed me quite often. He is supposed to be blind (can differ light from dark though), but he doesnt behave much like that at all. If he isnt Daredevil, then its just ridiculous how he moves through unknown terrain. Second fail.

As closer to the end as cheesier it got but in a way that imo doesnt fit a revenge story.
The smut was very nicely done, worth to check it out for it.

When skipping the past story arc Id re-read again, some years later.

When I first started to read this story I was skeptical about it.. But now that it's done I'm happily surprised in how entertaining it was. Only thing that threw me off was that the artistry seemed a bit sloppy to me..
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
a girl that falls for her cousin ends up betrayed by him.. She also turns into a fat and not so attractive teenager which doesn't help I guess.. So she goes to weight loss boot camp and does major plastic surgery to her face.. She then wants to know about sex and ends up getting her old school tutor.. As ironic as that sounds. She then goes by the name of silver and because he is blind from a car accident that happened he doesn't find out it's her right away.. Being an investigator by nature though he does find out and their love life starts to unravel.. But because he and her are both on a mission of revenge they end up splitting so that can do what they need to. She goes back to London and starts her revenge on Charles (her cousin). Which instantly works.. He is suspicious at times but she is a keen woman and keeps him in check.. Jake goes on a hunt for the drug dealer that killed his wife and investigator friend. It ends with a cliff side battle where all but jake and Geraldine die.. They then live happily ever after

Very lustful.. Very erotic.. Very painful.

Yes I'm glad I gave it a try even though there are negative comments ! If you're a josei lover I'm pretty sure you'll like this too. Personally I read it whole in one night as I couldn't stop reading !!!!

The drawing is okay, pretty pure and old fashioned. The rhythm keeps you tense all along. The characters are quite profound in a sense they act accordingly to what you can expect from then but being at the same time really complex so that you can be surprised. And it's the whole story that is like that : you can't mistake it for anything but a josei although I'm not sure there are any similar story already existing.

When I first read the premise, I avoided this series because I hate needless drama. But still, people kept recommending this to me, so I figured, why not give it a shot? Hahaha. Ha. No.

I knew that I would have to endure a couple chapters of soppy back story before the protagonist gets a backbone, but really? 20 chapters? Completely unnecessary. The author could have easily settled it in less than half that amount. Basically, the whole first bit was the girl being a dumbass. Honestly, when

Charles was trying to choke the brat, I almost started cheering out loud,
. It might just be me being a bitch, but seriously. She has a lot of issues. I don't even know why I bothered. I normally steer clear of anything even close to resembling this melodramaramarama. The revenge bit is (marginally) better, but still headache-inducing. I don't know, I just can't bring myself to finish this. Maybe I'll try again when I feel less rant-y.

Excuse me, then. I need to go detox from the sloppy mess that is this manga. Good day.

Like all the "adapted from English-language novel" mangas, this is very soap-opera-y so don't expect too much.

The josei tag is a bit misleading--yeah, it's slightly josei but it has a load of shoujo cliches on the count that it's a dime-store romance novel adaption. It's got revenge, a beautiful female lead, a tragic past, rich people, smut, misunderstandings, lost loves and a brooding male lead. I personally didn't find the story so bad but it went on a lot longer than it should have. The manga-ka could have easily ended this with around 30 chapters.

But if it's raining and you're looking for some guilty pleasure manga, then I would seriously say read this. If you're not into soap-operay situations, I would steer clear.

This is my first review but don't take it lightly. Without saying any spoilers, I will get to the point - this series was a total disappointment. The revenge part of it was cool, but poorly executed. The author took way too long to explicate the character's past. When I read this, I thought : "It's set in a fictional world that imitates Europe, so forgive its unrealistic aspects". Oh, but there are many. What coincidences there are in this manga are way too unlikely and cliche. The plot is hugely subjugated in favor of sex, and believe me, there are many sex scenes. Plot hole after plot hole, I found it hard to sympathize with any of the characters. Oh, why can't it have an ending like Hamlet!? With only Bridey living and telling the story.
I only recommend this if you want to see some smut with an over-dramatic plot. The art was pretty interesting though, despite being dated and whatnot.
P.S. Get this, the author also has a series called "Gold"...pfft

This plot was so filled with dark, rich plot that I had to finish it in one sitting. Each of the characters are very complex and you understand each of their struggles. The main character, though very stupid at the beginning and naive in the middle, she becomes a strong willed and ferocious character that kicks major a**. For a psychological romance manga, read it!

I'm surprised some people didn't like this manga!

Plot: really lured me in. There's been a couple manga's where they change their appearance for a guy but this time was definitely different. I loved the twists and turns and the events that occurred and how everything was thought up really well. It's definitely an addicting manga so if you have homework to do, don't start reading this yet bigrazz

I loveeeedddd how Charles fell in love with her. It just made everything so much more thrilling and exciting!

Characters: Loved all of them. I really liked the character development Geraldine went through and how much strength she was able to muster up after all those years. The way

Geralde and Jake go so well together was absolutely breathtaking. They had so much love for each other and they were able to support each other no matter what.
I also really liked Charles despite all he's done. I just couldn't get myself to hate him because you get to see the reason why he turns out the way he is and
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
in the end, you see that he's just a human guy who feels regret about killing her dad and you can see that he really just wants to be happy and he thinks that by inheriting the Roswell's money, he can get it. He's had such a bad childhood, it's no surprise he wants money that badly.
You definitely go through an emotional roller-coaster: Happy, sad, angry, ecstatic, worried, anticipation, power, love, sympathy, empathy and just so much more.

Romance: Smut-- but not pointless smut. It was definitely convenient and had a reason. Not TOO smutty as well so it had a good balance and yeah, definitely a romance manga haha!

Ending: Perfect.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
In my opinion, Charles had to die. I mean he had nothing going for him after losing everything but nevertheless, it was definitely bittersweet because you start to see another side of him-- his soft side right before he dies. Things that weren't supposed to happen twisted everything around and so Geraldine felt bad and told Charles to shoot her but he couldn't because he just loved her so much already *tear* and so he made his own choice to jump off the cliff and said "Be Happy, Geraldine Francis" and it ended with her and Jake spending the rest of their life together
It was absolutely beautiful.

The first few chapters were awesome! Then I realized that the author planned to do the story on Gerry's past for a few volumes, and it was depressing to see Gerry turning into a fat, ugly woman (like in an instant). The author should have just cut short the whole scenario to a few chapters, not a few volumes.

Then, there was the transformation part, which took a few volumes until volume 7. The transformation part was not exactly nice to read(only in the beginning though), then Jake got all moody and weird about wanting his revenge and thinking Gerry does not love him at all(although it was so obvious), till it seemed like he didn't want Gerry's love. So he abandoned her in Switzerland.

Then there was the part where the revenge took place. Gerry's way of doing things was not brilliant, and Charles was annoying as usual. And this took up some volumes. Then the revenge was done, and G and J got married. The page on the marriage was just 1 page though, how disappointing.

This story was just too draggy, while some important moments were cut short. The author should have just cut everything short into a few volumes, like 3 volumes instead and pay less attention to Charles.
