I'm conflicted. On the one hand, it's such a creepy story. On the other hand, it does do some really funny things. I can't decide if I really hate it or if it's funny enough that it's dark humor... I'm torn.

The way Fuuta behaves with Akiyoshi makes him look like a total jerk!Yet I just can't seem to stop liking it. Maybe because of Akiyoshi's reactions? I don't know, I was just addicted to it <3 I still love it. The art seem to bother me a little. I know, illustrating manga is hard but.. The art kind of sucks. At some part it disgusted me to even look at Fuuta's bush-like hair. It looked so weird...Ugh.

Don't gonna say anything about the manga itfelf, but I'll talk about readers. I don't get how any yaoi-reader can not like a manga just because "rape". I mean... it being fiction appart... the rape story line is super used in yaoi mangas LOL
Don't read this

It is straight up rape. The seme literally says, well if you won't have sex with me willingly, then I am going to rape you. Then he does. And, the poor boy being raped thinks that he is 'lewed' because his body responded to it. It sucks, but bodies betray the mind constantly, and it happens with some rapes. Surprise and fear can cause orgasms. There is no love (or even affection!) between these two and I don't want to read any more because it looks like he will be falling in love with his abuser. Can you say Stockholm Syndrome?

I love it when semes has a cute physical appearances but renders something darker inside, I love the comedy in the manga, I feel like this manga was made more for comedy than an actually storyline so yep.
Amusing

Yep, that's about all it was. Amusing. The reason being is that I'm a huge sadist and I like people who are sadists. (a.k.a. Naruse) Sadists are funny. Everything about Naruse is creepy: his eyelashes, his lips, the way he talks...and his personality.
I mean, look at this: I bawled from laughter!
It's an awesome way to get someone to listen to you...Maybe I should try it....
Anyway, this is a manga for people who like creepy ukes - I mean, semes...No, what I really meant was...creepy semes that look like ukes!

Gotta be honest. It'll annoy you plenty of times. Every criticism thrown at this manga, or most of it anyway, it's true. But like everyone rating this, you will read it all and will have the intense urge to read it all. It's true that the paneling is messy, and the author likes for everyone to say something, so the panels are plenty of times littered with little boxes and dialogue. You can choose to just skim over it, because ultimately it's just that, background people talking a lot, but you will have the urge to read it all. That's the thing with this manga. I think that's the reason it's so famous, and why it has such mixed reviews.
It's not cliché at all, and it deals with a good does of dub-con, though I would never consider rape as a theme, given that Akiyoshi is always clearly in denial. He himself pretends to dislike Fuuta, but the moment Fuuta turns around Akiyoshi is pouty. There are panels showing him mooning or pouting over Fuuta, but he thinks it's not like that. Fuuta is rough, but it's never nothing I don't expect from MEN handling each other. Everytime they are not having sex they have pretty intense conversations, with Akiyoshi pretending to be all annoyed about them.
Is it a manga about love? Who knows, but I personally know it's the kind of manga that will make you despair, facepalm, piss yourself laughing and gasp in suspense. It may have a lot of flaws, but even those flaws are handled in ways you hadn't read in other manga. So I could say that even in the bad, it does remarkably. You might not like it that much at the end, but it will sure leave you an impression. And when you read other manga and find stuff you don't quite like, you will remember Kawaii and Itoshii Akuma and how better they did at the bad, if that makes any sense

This is the manga that started my fanatic obsession for Madarame Hiro sensei's mangas. This series is the BEST for me. I have read it over 3 times and I still love reading it. The love between Akiyoshi and Naruse is different from any yaoi I have read. The ART is to DIE FOR and the Main CHARACTERS are so funny and the side ones even make me laugh. The progression of their love is unusual and I LOVE IT. I feel like this wont be every ones cup of tea. But you should drink the whole cup before you say you hate it. KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A SERIES THAT HAS MORE THAN ONE BOOK AND NARUSE MAKES A TRANSITION, SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS ONE KEEP READING!!! Because you might (90% sure) you'll like it in the end! HAPPY READING (>.<)

I'm between liking it and disliking. It was kind of funny how extreme the characters' personalities were. And their appearances, I can't even begin to describe odd uke and seme relationship. Read once. Came back a second time a couple of months later because it was difficult to forget the quirks in this manga.

the panelling suck. too many things happening in one go. the art is distracting. i feel like theres too much light i get blinded by it. i like unequal relationship, so though im miffed that love is thrown in the mix, i think thats the best. its funny anyhow, so if you prefer comedy over drama this is it.
