Description
A story mainly revolving around a tight-knit group of friends in high school and how they cope with several life-changing events that are never too far off from intimate relationships. The main character is a boy named Kei Kusanagi who suffers from a very rare disease which causes a comatose state referred to as a "standstill" whenever he is under severe emotional distress.

This was awful. The "plot" is just a long string of incredibly thin conveniences. Plus the explanation of how the marriage would be legal/not pedophilia was just really stupid. Oh, so the MC went into a coma for 3 years, so he's of legal age BUT also he's physically sixteen, and really has only experienced sixteen years of his life, but guys, that's okay it's not illegal we swear
The side characters were all introduced at once in the way beginning of the book and I found myself instantly forgetting them. And the alien stuff was just really stupid, in no way did it even seem remotely "alien", the teacher just can teleport places and occasionally wears a zero suit samus- like outfit that exposes her breasts.
Dare I say it, this series was even worse than Kan Na Gi and I think that's a pretty big feat.

Finished reading the manga and even before that watched the anime many years ago and I have to say its pretty enjoyable. Recommended for anyone who is into the romance genre. There are a lot of negative comments going around about this manga but read it for yourself and then decide, its 2 volumes so your not loosing anything but gaining. 
This was actually quite good. I'm not exactly a fan of anime-to-manga adaptations as they tend to be usually rushed as if it was the end of the world, but even at two volumes this one gets its point across well at an adequate pace. Kei and Mizuho's relationship could probably be fleshed out more, but that in no way means that the manga presents it as bad, let alone utter crap.
Probably my only beef with this is that being one of Hayashiya Shizuru's earlier works, it lacks her style and humor (not to mention her yuri/shoujo ai themes, blatant or not haha) which I have come to love in her other titles such as Hayate x Blade and Strawberry Shake (which I actually read immediately prior to this). But this is just me nitpicking.

i read this a long time ago too and i loved it when i came across it again i had to read it but the story is ok, and the art is bad i have seen worst art before so it doesn't bother me that much it is still fun to read it is just to short
i read the 2 volumes that was out in the u.s. A LONG time ago. it was still pretty romantic. i loved the series, i later watched the anime. It was very touching. i liked onegai twins as well
I'm almost fully a 100% manga person, however in the case of Onegai Teacher I watched the anime instead of reading the manga. Reason? Probably just length. 13 episodes vs 2 volumes of manga, the anime just seemed to get so much more in.
However, still recommend this as a read - but yeah - just a heads up, be sure to check out the anime episodes of this as well (subbed, the dubs are shait).

please i beg of you, dont read this manga, its such a travesty. here is why:
as far as setups go, its KIND of original, even so, i liked it a lot; im a sucker for student/teacher things ever sense unbalancexunbalance. but even so, each chapter it got worse and worse. not to mention, this manga gets an award for "most pathetic plot device EVER" some gay ass shit called 'stagnation' which is like a mini coma every time the main character gets his panties in a twist.
ugh i just hate to see this kind of manga. so much potential, but so poorly used. every relationship and character was HORRIBLY underdeveloped, not to mention in the final 2 chapters when it should be making a sensible conclusion they introduce another character and give "him/her" like 1 line of dialog....
did i mention the method of storytelling is just atrocious in itself. so please dont read this, find something else, this is just a terrible waste of your time. seriously PM me before reading this, ill tell you something better; i just dont want anyone to go though what i just did...

This is one of the most unusual romantic stories I've come to read so far...
But it's just as amazing as unusual it is...
I recommend it to all romance lovers... ^_^

Wonderful, just wonderful.
A perfect mix of romance and comedy, with a very deep and strong plot.
The ending is just beautiful. I'm only disappointed that it was so short. I hurts to have that good feeling you get while reading this end after two volumes.

a bit diffrent then the anime , but still just as good!!! allthough its a bit short its a good read , i recomend it!
