Description
The story is of Kitano Seiichirou, a very kind and pure-hearted young man, with a horrifying, monstrous face. People being what they are, they think he's a terrifying delinquent, and there are plenty of chance misunderstandings (coupled with Kitano's convenient inability to understand what's happening around him) that propel him into the position of "school guardian", a.k.a. head thug on campus.

The lqst page of the last chapter really caught me off guard, its not a spoiler, but there is a naked lady with thigh knee socks which says angel of something, regardless

This manga is good, but not the greatest that i have read. The review that is so accurate to my feelings is EmpressWinter. Their review is literally spot on

A great read, if a little difficult

I really enjoyed this manga a lot. I can't say its one of my favourites, but its worth reading all the same. It started off a bit slow, but really picked up as more characters are added. Some of those characters are quite boorish but the ones that matter, are great. It's also really nice to see multiple female characters in a manga like this that aren't simple accessories; all the girls can hold their own. It's hilarious at times, and at other times rather heavy, though in a subtle way. The length is also decent. Not too long or short.

A Fun Read That Gets Repetitive

A fun relatively short read. Kitano looks scary but is actually kind and pure of heart. Almost all of this manga is variations of gag plots that revolve around people expecting him to be evil. The characters are good, and the art is middling but distinctive. I especially enjoyed Takehisa.

Pass on this if you can't handle repetitive plots. Otherwise I really recommend it.

I don't know how the author does it but they somehow kept it fresh and hilarious the whole way using the one gag premise

Best manga I have read, hands down

[Re-read in full for at least 5 times]

An amazing series, normally I don't re-read a series I have completed at all, the most is normally once or twice, but this is just amazing.

First of all, the art in this series is kinda unique, it is of a more realistic style, and also the art style gets better over time, like how One Punch Man (webcomic) is. However, even if the art style might not be to one's liking, the storyline still more than makes up for it.

Anyways, this series is about a guy with an absolutely terrifying appearance living in a normal world (hint:judging others by appearance). And about how he lives his life while being ostracised, how he make friends and so on. There is quite a fair bit of 'luck' in some of the incidents for the MC but as the story develops, that 'luck' decreased and became fuller and better.

What I love about this series is that while like most manga, there are incidents happening that moves development and story plot, the characters themselves are unique enough to make it look like it's just normal occurrence. And it feels so natural, nobody has a change of personalities, only that they are showing another side of themselves that are completely compatible with their character. This is really a high level accomplishment that Yagi Norihiri manages to achieve.

The storytelling, character development and background art is absolutely amazing. The story doesn't feel too rushed, the mangaka stopped the series in a very good way, and ended with a very good epilogue. Character development involves not just the MC, but the side characters and this series is special in that side characters become part of the main characters, and enemies become friends. A very good proportion of character development across several characters in a concise manner. Background art around the parks, the trees and some structures were amazing, and some almost feel like art pieces instead of belonging to a manga.

O yea, not to say the least, this series is has its light-hearted and serious moments, but it is absolutely funny. I love how the humour were so well-placed and so funny.

Absolute fantastic work, very recommended to read.

It was okay. I felt that it did comedy fairly well, and some chapters were funny and enjoyable, but the multi-chapter fights were boring and repetitive. The characters were paper thin, which isn't necessarily an issue for a comedy manga, but the lack of character growth was astounding considering the situations presented. Ryoko was the only character who seemed somewhat similar to an actual human being and not as dumb as rocks. IMO the mangaka could have improved the manga by putting the gang into different situations (like, visit a department store, whatever!) rather than having them repeatedly meet a random person in the streets and that person wanting to fight/run away from Kitano while he makes the same confused thought bubbles instead of saying anything.

Easily my favorite manga

At this day and age the premise of a weak protaganist being though of as strong is quite a common troupe, but I would argue that Angel densetsu does it better than any other series. The troupe is largely the driving force of the manga, but with the adition of a great cast of characters the troupe did feel like it was getting old. At least for me, this is the best misunderstood protaganist manga out there and considering it was released 16 ago and hasn’t been beat yet, it will likely stay the best in it’s troupe.

The manga has aged well and I highly recommend everyone to try the first few chapters to see if they would like to continue.

God level manga

This manga has a very simple concept, but the way the mangaka has woven the characters and plotlines around this concept is amazing. The comedy in this is God level. Its laugh out loud funny in so many places.

I have read this manga around 3 times already and still find it refreshing and outright funny. It relieves all of my manga related fatigue (all of the crap coming out now).
