For the most part this feels incomplete. The story isn't all that. I like the 1999 anime though. I guess it doesn't matter since it has other manga now. Which took forever to get this show back to popularity. But the series itself is underrated, that and Slayers. Like I was literally a child when it came out. It took way more than ten years for it to get an anime. I'm still waiting for them to finish fullmetal panic. If you like to make slice of life fine but give a good series the adaptations they deserve. You think with all this technology it would get better but nope that don't even try anymore.

I watched the anime long before I knew of the manga. Though now that I've read it, I guess I'll share some thoughts.

Art I might compare to Berserk; both 90's artwork and good for it's time if not still decent.
Story however, like SyaoranX says, I think it wasn't paced completely as the ending felt like there wasn't proper closure; it doesn't seem like everything's resolved with Majik, Cleo or Hartia. (Though I suppose that's Orphen's nature.) Aside from the ending throwing me off a little, I still fairly enjoyed it from beginning til end as Orphen was a fairly fun read, as the anime was fun to watch.

If you want to kill time or like sorcery and medieval themes, I might recommend trying this out.

Six Volumes, story was too forced. pacing didn't flow well. characters were well thought out, but were not developed well. art is pretty good for its time.a "meh" manga. good for passing the time.

And i finally just read it last week.. It's quite entertaining, but the story/plot was kind of confusing, especially on the 2nd volume.. though I kept on reading it.. amazing. Even I am bewildered by my patience.
