Description

Young and inexperienced, Shuri nonetheless tried her best to raise them, despite their bitter attitude towards her. She is finally free to live her own life as her eldest son marries... only to find herself mysteriously reset to seven years ago—the night of her husband's funeral. Can Shuri find happiness with this second chance at a new destiny?

Many second chance stories revolve around revenge or living life completely differently than before. However, this is about making amends for your past mistakes and improving your second life, not running away from it.
It's a touching story about family, what makes a family, and how to be a real family for each other. She was strong in her first life and held the family together, but she's wiser in her second time around.
Her first life was a tragedy. Her second life, she's determined to make it end happily.
With her every new decision, we see how the people around her also change into warmer and more loving people. Not all events from her past are replayed in the second life, and there are some events in the second life that are completely new that she has to overcome.
I'm sad that there's no novel translation of this manhwa. There are also little background stories of side characters in the epilogues that I enjoyed.

I get the eldest son was not ready to take over,
but it still makes NO sense to bring in a girl only 2 years older than him to be taught from scratch. He couldn't find a gentle, smart, AGE APPROPRIATE wife, or at least one who wasn't literally also a CHILD. Maybe some barren lady that wouldn't remarry and therefore could still treat his kids like her own, but had some wisdom and emotional strength that comes with living more than 14 YEARS😕Thought it was ridiculous at first but I love how the author justified and explain their actions. Especially love richielli's backstory!! So 10/10 for that haha. It made me think about how people like richielli would do once in a situation like that, he might even be my favorite character! Not because I like how he thinks but because of how he seemed to be based of a real person

This is an amazing story. The pacing is so well done as the plot moves forward at a pace that's neither too slow (so not boring) nor too fast (so not jarring). There's plenty of space given to develop the characters' relationships with each other, as well as for each character to have their own character development. Each character has a different unique personality as well, with both strengths and flaws highlighted. The antagonists that are introduced are nuanced and not just "evil bad guys." They all have their personal agendas.
This is an example of a "reborn" manga done very well when it comes to aging and behavior. It's perfectly believable for a 25 year old to have a hard time being a mother while still managing to be a good one. That she's mature benefits her greatly, but that doesn't mean she doesn't face challenges as what lies ahead of her are all sorts of difficult political challenges that realistically a 16 year old who was until recently a commoner would never be able to surmount. The maturity she has and the challenges she still faces despite that maturity are both realistic.
The story is interesting and progresses naturally, with an overall mystery slowly showing itself.
The art is nice and there's a good balance of heavy scenes and cute scenes.
The female lead is great. She is shown to hold her own, but also to have her moments of weakness like everyone else. While she's too busy tending to everything else to have time for a unique personality, she's level-headed, a good mother, and a good marchioness.
This honestly is a great read.

The story is very good, character evolution is done with the correct motivations and at the right pace, good dose of reality, wonderful art, also, the children are very cute. Definitely worth a read.

It was so beautifully and masterfully done and written.
As of Tuesday 16th of March 2021, i have just finished chapter 62 - part of the arc titled 'Epilogue' - and i am overcome with grief. I am seriously full on BAWLING and i still havent even finished. My heart is about to break. The story was truly able to make me feel the utter sense of loss and regret the Neuschwansteins would have felt. And i too felt.
This broke me. This seriously broke me.
Moreover personally, more than romantic tragedies, familial tragedies, particularly those that deal with motherhood - that veing either a mothers loss of her child or a child's loss of their mother - strike a chord so deep within me and wring out feelings of grief i simply cannot describe
This webnovel exemplified this so well. The fluff at the beginning. The relationship and love i developed for the characters. The chapters up until the epilogue all lead to an understanding of the characters and contextualization. This context - this personalization - amplified the impact of the 'Epilogue.' It compounded the heartache and sorrow of it all.
This webtoon is really unforgettable and i will continue to read it and cry and cry and cry and cry non-stop. WHY?!? JUST WHY?!? IF ONLY YOU DID THINGS DIFFERENTLY?!? IF ONLY YOU HAD TOLD HER THE TRUTH?!? IF ONLY THE DUMBASS PRIEST WERE NOT A DUMBASS AND THE CARDINAL JUST FUCKING DIED.

This arc just made me ponder of how many incidents in our world were of the same nature as this - where selfless innocents were brutalized for greed and misdirection, and left behind mountains of regret and sorrow, wither their own or their loved ones.

Edit: It is weird how all guys around Shuli turn out as absessed over her just cuz she kind. Its a dumb thing . No matter who Shuli ends up with (i hope its not Jeremy), that obsession makes it a bit nausiating. Still worth the read cuz Shuli is awesome.
