Too Many !#@&+%-ing Tropes

Amnesia, destiny&fate, magic, royalty, contract marriage, insta-love, miscommunication as a plot device, time travel, possessive ML, protected princess FL, overpowered MCs, hooded bad guys, magical possession, ghosts (kinda), magic familiar, curses, evil experiments, etc etc.

The plot felt everywhere. The ML annoyed me and learned nothing. None of our MCs like to communicate. And by the end I was tired of their love story that left ML blameless for his mistakes and controlling behavior. Ending may have been rushed to completion since it ends at exactly 100 chapters, no side stories. So as to be expected, there's quite a few unanswered questions. I wont call them plot holes because they are more like cracks you can kind of gloss over in favor of the romance, but they are very clearly still there. You just won't fall in.

Pros of the series are the gorgeous art, steamy romance scenes, and the adorable side couples! By the end, even side couples who may have only had approximately 20 panels together had their individual and relationship character development feel more realistic and relatable than our main couple to me.

Rec: Worth a cute, quick read to enjoy the pretty art, but would not put myself through the angst again.

It was good, the romance was steamy. But the storyline was confusing and wrapped quickly with some plot holes still open.

Now I understand that it's fine to have misunderstandings but to spend a hundred chapters not communicating at all.... Even the bad guy who was trying to manipulate everyone didn't really seem to have much impact when he was caught after all his schemes.

She used her power to sanctify the world and clear the issues of the curse, but I can't tell if the curse ended because the male lead killed the boss or if her rain touched the whole world and cleaned it. Then they didn't touch on the creepy red haired pedo guy that followed her around forever and was painted as a big deal.

Had a lot of potential but not a lot of follow through

I need the Novel

I quit enjoyed the entire story but I think it came short in explaining and portraying certain parts of the story, making me think the entire time the comic came off short while adapting from the novel, I hope it is like this and I can fully get all the explanation needed, it felt like they cut many corners to end it. But I still liked it and the art was lovely

Art and setting is beautiful. With a non hateful FL, but the ML is iffy. He was sus at the beginning, got better but then just got worse. I hate how he always hide things from her and only tells her after she discovers them herself. Yes, I agree that some information isn’t useful to her now but he should’ve still gave her awareness of what’s going on.

Feb 2023: Although it does have the contract trope, but FL being a con artist is seldom in manhwas like The Heiress' Double Life . FL eventually is revealed as a powerful figure once they become a couple. Cute interactions, and sweet moments. A new culture is introduced and not the usual aristocratic setting.

Nothing complicated much in the first season, so I'm looking forward to the next one.

Aug 2024: interesting plot for season 2, and how they connected it to the past. overall a good read.

Only 24 chapters in so far but man i am really impressed and have high hopes. The arts beautiful. The world building is really interesting and i love how they allude to a mysterious and magical overarching plot. I'm really looking forward to more. Based off of what I've read so far it's total 10/10 potential. I'll update my rating later on in the series if this changes. Highly recommend you check it out for yourself.

(I've seen this with the smut tag but that feels heavily debatable as nothing is really shown just some heavy kissing and teasing then fade to black. Many websites don't have this labeled as smut. So if you're worried about this one cause you're not usually a smut fan or not a fan of things that are too explicit this should still be good if you're okay with my above description)
