Like holy shit it took SIX months for ONE AND A HALF chapters to release?!

Tries too hard to paint the MC in an "evil" light or as morally ambiguous but I don't see how it's warranted. For example, the virtuous knight is ok with physical torture but not with tricking people by deceiving them with cunning, or, she's paints him as a distorted mirror for being able to put himself in the shoes of a criminal yet she kills the said criminal when his legs had been chopped off, for little reason. She lives a life of killing out of her own choice, he, wants to live peacefully and is dragged by her. I would be much more scared of that female knight in real life that of the MC, the MC can look at things from several angles and understand others logic, the knight? well she's a self righteous person, let's just hope she doesn't mistakenly think someone guilty of a crime, she's the type that's easily manipulated.

As for him being a sociopath... I'm not sure, sure, he's not very sympathetic but he doesn't lack empathy (this is particularly evident in ch 11), nor does he lacks emotions, which are the two main traits of a sociopath. Unless he's acting it all, since they technically can rationalize others feelings and act accordingly, but he shows this traits when nobody is judging him, so I'm inclined to deny that possibility. More than lacking emotions, the MC gives the impression of holding the reigns on thrm very very tightly.

Other than that, it's very Japanese, fortunately no cooking arc yet but I wouldn't discard it, nor the harem, it has that inherent naivete seen in manga. The focuses is the MC, at least so far, the story is pretty inexistent so far, thou it's only been 20ch, still, stories about demon lords are rarely good, this one seems to going that route but with a twist, we'll see.

It’s damn beautiful and doesn’t carry the usual elements of and OP MC who’s out for revenge or something. Instead he’s a sociopath (yes sociopath not psychopath) who’s not trying to blend in with the people but just live his life *peacefully*. Plot wise everything is going great and the pacing doesn’t feel rushed or too slow. It’s a work of art without a doubt.

This is rather interesting. As the line above states, this manga has the most accurate portrayal i've ever seen of a sociopath in fiction. Unlike what movies and fiction would have us believe, the VAST majority of sociopaths, more specifically high-functioning sociopaths, are not evil. They want to live as much as the next person, and aren't 'bad guys'. Remember, the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath is that the former are generally born (i.e. they actually have something wrong with brain chemistry that means they were born broken), and the latter are made (i.e. something traumatic happened that colored their brain enough to disallow normal functions).

But in both cases, with proper mindsets, training, and perhaps medication, both can be perfectly functional members of society. They're not all Hannibal Lector style serial killers.

In any case, while it's never explicitly stated, the MC is clearly a high-functioning sociopath. He's pretty 'dark', and is described as a 'twisted mirror' that reflects evil when surrounded by it, and good (or rather normal) when surrounded by it. He uses unorthodox methods, including a rather fun example of the Prisoner's Dilemma used literally lol, but it's all 'on the side of good'. I.e., he's an antihero. Uses un-chivalrous methods but in effort to help the good guys and the side of order.

What's more, he's clearly self-aware. He actively surrounds himself (and TRIES to do so!) with positive influences, which as this is a manga (LN/WN) involves some nice waifus lol. He knows his own limits, and when he gets close to his breaking point he tries to destress and reign himself in.

What's more, the supporting cast is great. Said primary waifu has open communication with him, and speaks about how she's uncomfortable when he makes his evil face, and tries to anchor him on the positive side. We've got a bunch of good natured rational adults, a scheming yet ultimately benevolent king, who adores him due to his darkness, a bunch of nice chivalrous knights/nobles, and so on.

(There are of course the obligatory antagonists, some more and some less 2D.)

Also very interesting, it's implied (but not yet fully explained) that otherworlders from Earth have been over, and often, and are in fact a major source of the worlds problems. Apparently Necromancy and creation of Maous were first done by Earthlings? It's very interesting to have such a stark NEGATIVE portrayal of otherworlders. That's not to say that all nobles are good or anything, or that their world would be a paradise without Earth influence, but with the exception of the MC, it seems like everyone thinks that EVIL came from Earth.

Kinda ironic considering how 'dark' the MC is also portrayed to be.

Oh! Also of note, all personal details of the MC is obscured! We don't know his name, nor his age, and any time it would be used/revealed, it's covered up. It's pretty interesting! Literally all we know is that he's older than 18.
