I was drawn in by the realistic art style, but unfortunately the writing is just as juvenile as the million other shounen romance manga out there. Typical unrealistic characters and the usual shounen tropes where the MC waits forever to confess and the main girl just beats around the bush, etc. If you're going to read something this trite then you might as well just go all out and pick something that at least gives you ecchi art while it bores you with indecisive main characters. This manga doesn't even give you nice boobs to stare at, just boring characters and generic plot developments!
One of the best

Yup, this is easily one of the best manga I know. No matter the genre/theme, this one is at the top of my all-time list with a (very) small handful of others. Can't recommend it highly enough
The pace, setting, character development and even the art was quite well done for this work, but man did it fail in the ending. The start wasn't anything particularly strong, but it did set the scene quite well and justified a weak protagonist with back story. Yet as the story kept going, my anger towards Nagisa started skyrocketing, to the point where I started wishing misfortune on her because I honestly started feeling that her problems weren't big enough (or clearly explored enough, i.e. her love for nursing just seemed to come out of no where and it's just kind of an attribute rather than properly explained, unlike Koutarou's dream)
Anyway, Koutarou goes through a lot and comes out...in a sense stronger, but what annoyed me was the amount of depression in the end. I don't usually put spoilers but:

nothing changes, they may have just as well been good friends.impressed

The manga is a great read for romance manga enthusiasts and will keep you captivated till the end. It is not a harem or an ecchi manga and keeps the romance pure. I would say the romance is in the style of Adachi Mitsuru having the female lead be stubborn when it comes to love and has a hard time understanding their feelings but this is not a Adachi work so it turns out better. My only gripe is the ending is conclusive, but I am the type to want more of the conclusion than only be given the answer and that's it.

# revision 1
I'm writing this after having read up to chapter 47.
This manga is nothing new, in any aspect, and leaves really nothing more to expect you could not guess from its 'class' save the setting. The art doesn't excel in neither newbornness nor contempory conformism. So, my joy could depend soleley on the character developement.
Sadly, their archetypes haven't been covered up using any interesting situational – fast, exciting, irritating, o just captivating – compositions or sth of that sorts.

The first part was pretty good (ch1-39). By which I mean that almost all original romance manga works, especially shounen, have disappointed me and this one was better than I expected.
The second part (from ch 40 onwards) was not good. Most of it was actually pretty terrible >.> degraded into cliches that were unexpected because it was...just kinda bad.
The last few chapters were good, though, at least for what seemed like a bit of a rush job.
EDIT: I'll just kinda average out what i'd rate the first and second part for my rating.

Tired of gore, endless fights and some other shits, it was refreshing to read this series. Not so great, but this classic romance will surely warm you up. And hooray, this is one of those rare manga that don't have ecchi. Seriously, I'm a little bored with boobs and panties in almost every series nowadays.
Excellent Shounen romance

The obvious points of comparison for this manga are (mind that this is only after 16 Chapters) Pastel and Kimi No Iru Machi: small town setting, stranger comes to town, etc. Unlike those two this manga ended after seven volumes so presumably the story was concluded, rather than dragging on in endless and annoying minor twists. The art is old fashioned, but really well drawn, reminds me of Adachi's style, as does the easy-going-guy-pursues-tsundere-girl setup. The characters are strong and the dialogue is well written, giving a real sense of their motivations and attitudes. I look forward to reading the rest. It's great that VIS have picked it up, and hope that they can keep scanlating the rest of the series.
No rating yet, but I expect that I will give a high rating when some more chapters are out.

I also like the starting of this manga coz it has a slow paced atmosphere about it that manga nowadays are missing. If only the scanlations would come out a bit faster. Although it is too early to give ratings. It has a perfect score so far according to me

Obviously the 10 is too high while I only have read 1 chapter, but I'd like this series to get more interest. The ambiance in this series is really good. It's cool to see that the lies that where told got discovered fast. Unlike most series where they live with the lie. Here's a guy who's genuinely making a new start in life.
