I read this manga because of the horror genre. I love the art, so detail and clean. The plot looks promising too, but oh but... the confusion it gives me, making my head hurts.
The character development is a bit rush. Not only the character development is rushing, but also the story latter is very rushed. It left a lot of questions unanswered. Such a pity...

:REverSAL is truly awesome (in the older sense of the word): it is a well done horror manga with good plot, execution, characters, and art. However, it was clearly axed for one reason or another, so the ending is fairly open and leaves room for a continuation... a frightening one!

I finished reading this just recently and I'm speechless ..... The plot is kinda rushed but still enjoyable to me. I'm a little bit confused by the ending though.... Did the song just repeat and the game continue or what? That kinda creep me out....
Well, I'll give this 8.5/10.

The beginning is very promising. As expected of Karakara Kemuri, the art is gorgeous! I like that we see traditional Japanese clothing and culture, as well as westernization. The main character, Matsuyuki Ayame, is a cute girl who has a strong sense of justice and is very kind. She has a very warm smile, which would make you want to smile in return.
It is very cool to see a geisha, in a kimono, holding a gun. The game concept in this story makes the plot unpredictable.
This story had a lot of potential. It would have been very nice if the story was longer, in order to have more characters develop. This manga could definitely continue with a sequel, just to allow readers to see what else the characters decide to do with their lives.

Intriguing concept, but...

...the pacing's far too rapid to make much of an impact on the reader.
Reversal has a strong-willed but kindly female protagonist and an interestingly varied supporting cast, which is more than can be said of most works of fiction. Unfortunately, two short volumes don't provide us with enough time to grow fond of the characters, which in turn means that despite having so much potential, neither Ayame nor any of her friends will make it to my list of all-time favourites.
On the plot front, we're introduced to a unique core concept that sets the manga firmly apart from other survival horror series. However, there's too little suspense and both the main character and the reader have barely become accustomed to the rules and setup of the Reverse World before the conspiracy's revealed and the story ends. The plot barrels forward at breakneck speed, depriving us of what could have been a lovely buildup to an action+horror+mystery plot that had enough steam to span at least 3-4 volumes. Add to that the rather inconclusive - in a bad way - ending, and you've got yourself a wealth of squandered potential.
Despite these flaws, I'm actually quite fond of Reversal, and recommend it to those looking for something to break the monotony that dominates the "zombie-killing game" themed fiction of today, and to anyone okay with trying out something that's more "story (and character) concept" than "story."

Woah that was really interesting. The stuff about reverse worlds and how it connects. I just can't believe the manga is so short and ended on such a sudden note
That was really good. I recommend it!

This manga is promising. It has a theme and story line that is unique in my opinion. The world has a reversed side to it. This reversed side is accessible by a game control. You are given certain mission to fulfill in each game/each time you go to the reversed side. I rarely read anything like this, so I'm enjoying this aspect of the manga.
The art is beautiful. Shoujo-esque. Clean, sharp. I quite like it.
The main character is strong, but for some reason she annoys me. I think it might be because of her love for justice. I mean....
It's a bit psychological as well.
Anyways, it looks good so far. There is nothing wrong with it. The concept is new. The character is a tiny bit annoying, but I think that might just be me.

In a manga such as this, I'm just expecting some zombie killing spree. I'm expecting lots of gore and blood, which we get. But not justice and zombie saving. Maybe I'm twisted or something to want to read something akin to highschool of the dead. I also wanna see the geisha/main character do some action scenes with a gun in her hand. Don't know if I will ever see that.
It's a bit psychological as well.

I thought it looks interesting, a female character in kimono holding a gun.
The art looks appealing, not messy either.
Then I started reading, and was blown away by the sheer awesomeness of it.
Some parts are a little creepy, like how the song repeated over and over again but that just made it even better.
Can't wait for more

Pretty interesting so far, considering there's still only one chapter out at this point. The art is nice and the story isn't too bad a start. The only thing though, it seems like one of those overused novel starts you see especially in those sucky online novels by mainland chinese authors. Well, it's not all that bad when used on a manga though, overused on novels does not equal the same on mangas. However... we'll see if it turns out to be as cliche and pointless as those novels...
