My favorite from Ohmi Tomu

This is my favorite from this artist. I find this way better than midnight secretary just because I don't like main characters that sleep around even if they have to the ML on that one just always put me off. I couldn't find myself being able to fall in love with him like a reader should because of that. I just look at him and all I see is Tommy Lee... Just a diseased human well in the case vampire. Anyway, enough about the story I dislike and on to this wonderful piece of beauty. The art is amazing and both the main leads are amazing and I've reread Viz Media's print copy so much that all 5 volumes are literally falling at the seams...the glue holding the binding together is falling apart. I've already replaced them and put my dust covers on them and into the curio cabinet they went with the rest of my favorites. I will admit that oh this is probably a spoiler hold on [spoiler]that the ML can get super annoying with his loyalty to the fl's mother but that's probably because we know what type of person she is and they do not at the time/spoiler] we got to have perspective right? There's just a lack of communication right around that part that the FL feels like she's just a replacement and I wish that would have never happened it would have made this story 100 🌟 instead of 99. I feel like for everything her mother put them both through

they forgave her far too easily I just dislike the mother I don't care if she's the witch Queen, her daughter should have been more important than anything I don't care if the world is FU☪️KING ending I will choose my child over millions of people and feel no shame in doing so. It's not like the mother's a hero so I don't know why she has a hero's complex and that was never really solved in my point of view. All in all it's an amazing story like I said I reread it hundreds of times. It'll always have a special place in my heart because I started reading it when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, so I got to read that lovely manga throughout my pregnancy and felt good about it.

Another Good One

This is another good one by the mangaka. I keep reading all of OHMI Toru's works.
But while this was good, it felt short - the last volumes felt a tiny bit rushed.
''Midnight Secretary'' remains my top favorite one by the mangaka, but this is my second best no doubt.

Really enjoyed the story, like with any other Ohmi Tomu manga. The characters are interesting and are fleshed out beautifully as the story progresses, giving us an understanding of their motives and goals. The art is gorgeous and the steamy scenes are artfully drawn.
The only thing I'm deducting a point for is the fact that the story feels so short ... I'm sad I don't get to read more about Kaoruko and Kaname. The ending could have been fleshed out more, but at least it gets straight to the point and we all see their happy ending.

Not one of my favourite story by the mangaka but it was still really good!! XD

Wold have liked more magic or more things to do with her herb shop but it still was great! I ended up buying all five volumes so I'm satisfied. XD

I love this one. It was only 5 volumes. It trumped Midnight Secretary my previous favorite by this Mangaka. I felt like there was more plot in this one and it didn't include pointless drama for drama's sake.

First of all, I love this author's stories and art. For this particular manga I am very disappointed there were only 4 chapters and I haven't heard or seen any news regarding more releases.

For all of you that like me where horrified that midnight scans dropped this series fear not. It has been licensed and the first volume is available to by on amazon under the title Spell of Desire! 🙂 Can't wait for the next volume.

I REALLY want to read this one, but sadly I can't read Japanese. I am worried that if I pick this one up, it will turn out like a lot of others and only get partially translated, than dropped by the translators...
PLEASE let this one be different and begin getting regularly updated/translated....PLEASE~

With any Oomi Tomu manga you're promised three things: beautiful art, bishies GALORE and an amazing (and often steamy HEH HEH) romance. Four, actually: generally, all her stories have a supernatural element to it that adds an interesting twist to things. Majo no Biyaku is no different. Right now I'm loving the dynamic between the hero and heroine, and the (SPOILER! sort of) angsty shadow of doubt that has been/will be (HOPEFULLY) cast over their attraction what with Kaoruko's sudden powers of attraction (heh heh). I'm looking forward to watching their romance bloom. She isn't exactly my favourite of Oomi Tomu's heroines (Midnight Secretary's was KICK. ASS) but there's a sweetness about her that wins you over. ^^ And Kaname is just... rawr. Hahaha! I can't wait to read more! (I've even gone on to find all the Chinese raws I could. v.v And my Chinese is terrible.)

The story so far is getting pretty interesting--a lot of ingredients have been thrown into the mix in a single chapter: knights, witches, unicorns, dragons, white magic, black magic, an absentee mother in magical stasis, yada yada yada. I'm looking forward to where it goes! Can't wait for the smut to arrive as well, because DANG the male lead is attractive. I can't believe that I'm feeling jealous of a fictional two-dimensional female character.

Kaname actually reminds of the head shinigami in Black Butler... Same slicked back hair, same mannerism of pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, etc.

And as always with Oomi Tomu, I love the art! The eyes are drawn so prettily and there's this beautiful tendril-y quality to her work that's hard to describe.
