Description
From CMX Manga: This suspenseful, supernatural series tells the tale of Canon, the only student to escape from a bloody vampire attack that took the lives of her fellow classmates and turned her into one of the undead. Struggling against the terrible needs that compel her, Canon commits herself to use her powers for good and do whatever she can to avenge the deaths of her friends and her own terrible fate. Joining forces with a talking, vampire crow, she begins her quest to find Rodd, Lord of the Vampires.
Read this one a while ago but from memory I liked the angsty feel of this manga but also found the plot confusing... I still enjoyed it overall though because of the characters personalities and art style, I may try to rereaad this in the future to refresh my memory of it...
Ok you guys...let me start by saying that I freaking love the way bishies look in this manga...I'm just a sucker for those intense eyes *sigh* now that this is out of our way, lets get serious here. The plot is somewhat interesting but ridden with cliches and you can predict where things are going a mile away. There were moments of glorious glory by the end though, involving what might be my favorite mascot in shoujo manga history! That being said, everything wraps up with a predictable ending for everyone involved and almost everyone, good or bad, gets what they deserved. Still, the artwork (and the freaking hot BISHIES! SMOKING HOT I TELL YOU!!!) , the interesting premise as well as a not so dull, semi-tough Shoujo protagonist make this manga one of my guilty pleasures. I'm sorry did I mention the hot as hell Bishounens? Ok good
The manga was pretty good. But as usual, or actually even more than usual, Shiomi Chika creates an incredibly rushed and not totally believable romance. The characters changed sides and feelings to quickly and easily. Her drawing is beautiful, and I would reccommend this if you have time to spare and are a fan of Shiomi-sensei's work.
I like it! The characters are great; I like the personalities of both the heroine and the leading guy. I've only read the first volume but I am certainly going to read it to the finish. Good plot, development, etc...just all-around good. If you like a good vamp story and want a break from all the stupid shoujo heroines and shallow stories, then Canon is for you.
This series is really good if you're into drama, horror, supernatural stuff, and of course, romance. It gives the reader a wider view into vampires and I especially love how the author keeps twisting people's words around and making the main chara girl stronger(sorry, I haven't read this in a while).
