Read it for Rotto

Come on, a selfish, smart, and sly SHOUNEN hero? I was hooked. Normally you have the main character who is as dumb as a block and probably with a head as hard as one. He will jump in front of a bus to save his friends, nakama, family, etc. Not Rotto. Oh no, this guy will gladly throw his friends under the bus. And then laugh. Luckily, he is still likeable when he shows his nice side. Which is hidden deep, deep, deep, deep, down. You'd probably need a team of miners to dig that deep but still.
I really liked the first arc but the second one is sort of...blah. Rotto doesn't improve at all, in fact it seems as if he has gotten weaker, and the funny Yureka is gone. Replaced with this "assassin" or hunter, killer, whatever girl. I think more than a volume is wasted with her moans about how she can't kill someone and how she wants Rotto to suffer because now she has a crush on him. Yeah. Stick to the first arc guys.

A fun manga that seems a bit long

Probably the best thing about this manhwa are the characters, particularly the main, Rotto (or Lotto). After a while you just get tired of your classic shounen justice focused leads and Rotto is about the closest thing to a cure as you'll find. You wont hear a "must save everyone" speech from this guy. He'd probably sacrifice his friends for a power-boost if he could-without asking first. He's pretty evil, and maybe not the brightest tool in the shed when it comes to interpersonal relations, but he's actually relatively smart, which is a plus. He's one of those character that even if everyone he crosses in his world will hates him after, you wont.
All of the characters are pretty extreme, but it helps to keep them unique from each-other. Although the art might not be to everyone's liking, its really quite good in its own way. Particularly in that the artist is able to differentiate her characters in ways other than hairlenght. This is a rare manga that even if a you haven't seen a character for volumes chances are you'll remember them (even if your character/person remembering skills are as bad as mine). They're all "endearing" in their own way and the story would feel like its missing something if they weren't there. Even the extremely minor ones.
The biggest problem I find with this series is that its a bit slow. It can spend volumes on something that could have been substantially compressed. In particular, the series spends way too much time (I find) twiddling its thumbs between major events. You can expect volumes of interlude material between the conclusion of one major issue and the start of the next. Admittedly its during these times a lot of character information is released, but it makes things feel choppy and a tad tedious. A battle of epic proportions is looming on the horizon and you'll be continually informed of this, but you'll have to wade through 3 volumes of characters talking and hypothesizing (and mauling each other). You just start thinking "get on with it already, I want to see something get smashed other than Boromir's face (which is still amusing 25 volumes later)."
Overall I'd give it and 9.
The art is pretty nice: the characters are recognizable and if you shaved everyone you'd still be able to tell them apart, action is clear and fluid, and I find the style to be pleasing. 9/10
Characters: Rotto is awesome and rest are all memorable. However, other than maybe Rotto and Yureka there isn't a whole lot of character development and they're all pretty flat. They're who they are and they stay that way. However, they're all interesting enough and don't follow flat archetypes so you don't get bored of them. 9/10
Story: The overall plot (once you get there) is pretty cool and takes on vast proportions. Due to the extreme nature of the characters the plot isn't as predictable as most other shounen, though you may have a vague idea of where things are going. Unfortunately its a bit stop-go in nature. 8/10

At first I thought it was just another stupid RPG manhwa, so after reading a couple of chapters I dropped it. Recently, while looking for something new to read I noticed it had many releases, so I decided to give it another try.
24 volumes later I can tell it's a really good piece of art. Most of the events take place in a game, so you can enjoy the fantasy world, but every once in a while you get back to the reality, which adds a whole new world and set of characters (not many though, it's weird how all characters from game meet in the real world) to enjoy.
Some characters are a bit naive (genius hacker who sometimes acts plainly stupid), but I really like current development, so I can forgive author for that.
It's not on the level of One Piece, Claymore, Kekkaishi or Alive, but a good read nonetheless.
Strong 8

I am familiar with those strategy since I love playing rpg. The protagonist is quite evil and funny ^-^ I am now in chapter 39 and I will finish this amazing manga first-time reading this kind of manwha that is base on morpg. Read it and you'll love it.

Have to agree with most of the post here. Really a good Manwha and has a nice story. Like how it shifts from Volume 16-19 to a different plot as far as I can tell. For anyone who's been eager to read the latest chapter of Yureka, there seems to be a underground translator group that only uploads their chapters to mangafox dot com and seem to have up to volume 30 ready for translation. Can't wait to read more =) Enjoying it to the fullest

This is by far deserve to be one of my top tier manhwa. Parallel worlds manga always interesting me and game based one are the most entertaining due to easy interacts between two worlds. That explain my passion for .hack series and this manhwa definitely do a good job. Lack of fanservice, as the guy above said, but the comedy do wonderful jobs to cover on that. The only complain i can possibly have is the scans. From the first chap, we already experienced chapters skip, even in one volume. And now, vol 19 after vol 6 ?? Seriously, WTH

Wow. Just fantastic. I love reading game-mmporgs based manga and this one did not leave me disappointed. So far, the action is all fast paced; leaving my breathless. I found this manga today and I've been reading nonstop until 4:50 A.M. Plus, this is so good that I'm not even going to the bathroom although I really need to pee because I decided to review and hopefully persuade others to read this. Although this manga has pretty much no girls with half naked dresses barely covering their top, (lack of fanservice) but the action makes up for it. Definitely recommended for fans of 1/2 Prince and .hack.
Ah yes. I forgot to mention that Rotto, Lotto, however the hell the translators feel like spelling his name, is QUITE evil. He will manipulate friends and allies to get the desired goal. However, for some reason the reader sympathizes with him because although he has a bad personality, his passion for winning is tremendous and garners a lot of respect.

Certainly one of the best manhwa that I was able to read. After the 16 v. begins the second arc, is more darker that the first but explains the mysteries behind this series, surely at the beginning not so funny as the first but after a while I started to love it the same.
The only flaw is the fact that the scans are slow to die, so i hope that someone begin it someday (1ch in 1year is absurd for a probably 30+ series, unless you can read the French version xDD)

It's still one of my favorite but it became a bit strange after v16. Completely different, and I think it's become quite lame...
