Description
Katagiri Aoi lives in the countryside, and likes it just fine there. Yet, to her dismay, her parents are moving to Tokyo, and she has to come along. Just before leaving her home town, however, she has a chance encounter with a visiting Tokyoite, Sugita Tsuyoshi, a city-born playboy type. On impulse, he kisses her--only to realize that this kiss, unlike all the others, carries unexpected meaning for them both.

Typical

Very extremely overly dramatic and typical. The girl is very stupid. The guy is pathetic. Then there is the overly strict dad who did everything to intervene between the two of them This manga is not enjoyable at all. I'm not sure why so many people gave it a 10.

Sad

This was one of the saddest stories I have ever read. I started this story thinking that is what a normal shoujo manga where the guys would end up happily ever after. The story didn't grab my attention during the first half, especially when the overused cliche of the childhood friend appeared in the storyline. However all that changed when I reached the end. I bawled my eyes out while reading the last chapter, and all misgivings I had about the story earlier disappeared. The ending was beautiful. If "A Walk to Remember" is your thing, then this manga is definitely for you.

was I reading the same as every one else?

Really was I reading the same manga as every one else, I thought this manga was terrible and I was actually rather happy with the "tragic" ending infact I felt that was the best piece of the whole manga. I just thought it was too cliched and I couldn't feel for the characters AT ALL the girl was incredibly stupid and the boy was worse and then in the last volume every thing goes terribly wrong after all the boring and overly used plot devices the manga-ka ends it rushed at that with a tragic ending which really does not make up for its overall lameness. You want a real love a real tragic and meaningful love read romeo and juliet(which can be bought in manga form with the art by the lovely sonia leong) and then compare it to this terrible piece of manga. I didn't even like the art. and its not because I'm unfeeling I've cried like a baby at many things when there was no reason to!

Had Me Crying...

Sure, it was a little cliched, and sure, Aoi was plain stupid, but I really liked this series. It made me cry at the end, and I didn't know I could cry so hard for a manga. It shows that horrible things really do happen to great people. It was touching, and honestly, I'll remember for a long time, even though it falls into a cliche at first. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind a good cry.

I hated the characters. Aoi was stupid. The plot was cliched and typical. And the art wasn't even that great. But, the ending redeemed the story. Without the tragedy, I would've hated this series. But, now I can even praise it a little. For depicting what can happen to people, even though they don't deserve it. Life isn't fair. And the ending shows that.

The story was cute. A bit cliched, if you ask me. But this was one of the first scanlations I read, so I'm going easy on it. This is a average to slightly above average read. Oh, a warning: the heroine is extremely stupid. She's not even just "country girl" as the manga says, she's just stupid.

I seriously remember crying while watching the movie and i felt even worse while finishing this manga, but in such a good way that it makes it a good tragedy. Of course the movie is more american to a degree of shoujo, while the manga is totally japanese style and of course many things are different. Not too sure about those oneshots at the end, at times trying to be funny but it sort of did not work?

Heart breaking...

Although it may looks like it's only a plain story about an average countryside girl, this is a sincere and lovely story for sure. Definitely heart breaking.
Human beings don't understand the strength that love gives until you've found one... and also don't understand the monumental dimension it has until you've lost it.
That I've also learned for sure... It's hard to be the one that's staying behind all alone.

Amazing Story!

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I started off reading this maga thinking that it would be a romantic comedy. I didn't have ANY IDEA AT ALL that it was a tragic manga. Truth is, that if I had known, I probably wouldn't have read it, & it would've been a waiste.
This story touches my heart in ways that I can't even describe.
There were so many twists and turns in this manga that leaves you wondering what will happen next, but all your questions are answered & all the thoughts are complete!
When I got to the last couple chapters, I had the vibe that something REALLY bad was going to happen, & I was right.
I cried SOOO much! I was reading this at like 2am & I couldn'T go to bed until I finished it (no matter how many times my mom yelled at me!)
When reading this manga, have a lot of tissues nearby, you'll need it!
This story is a work of art & maybe in a couple years, when I have the heart, I'll read it again...
This story shows that bad things do happen to good people.
