Not giving it a ten? Well, f*ck you too!

To be frank, this manga is FMA tier, that meaning - close to perfect (as of now).
It's not done yet, of course, but still, even a bad ending can't ruin it too much at this point.

A fun series, that's about it.

There's nothing new or revolutionary here. Typical weak to strong story, with plenty of cheesiness, power of friendship, and what not. The artwork is good (extremely good if you consider it's a weekly schedule), the girls look a little chubby, which is fine by me, but that can put off some guys who prefer the typical slim and cute appearance of girls in today's shounen, and the boys range from hot blooded guys to calm and calculating ones, typical.

But putting things together is rather well done (in their own cliches), that's about it. There's nothing bad here, but nothing that screams Greatness. It's a good and fun series to read, specially for a younger audience (-18), and that's what the shounen demographic is all about.

Would be a great introduction for a young lad who never has read a Shounen. But for older monkeys like me i just appreciate that it's a inoffensive work that will get younger people's blood pumping with each page. My first recommendation is and always will be Dragon Ball, as this was the work that defined the battle manga sub-genre for many generations, but this would be my third recommendation (After Hunter x Hunter) if the lad does not appreciate or just doesn't wanna read a classic.

Here we have a superhero series well done, I guess. Typical weak to strong, rivalry, a bit cheesiness and friendship + justice themes etc.
I think everything is pretty well done, but in the end there’s absolutely nothing new to see here. It’s a straight shounen, nothing special about the plot or the characters. I’d still recommend it though, especially for a younger audience or for people who are looking for 100% shounen and don’t mind the lack of originality.

'Boku no' rule

A friend of mine has made it a rule to never read anything with "Boku no" in the title, and what a shame. It is a great series. If you have the same rule, I think you should break it-- just this once.

It's been a while since any shounen has engaged me to this extent, and I don't know whether it's the simple, purehearted earnestness of one boy to meet his hero's expectations, or the mash of humanity and morals that are seen through the eyes of such an earnest, kind boy...but I am very eager to read more of this boy's journey to becoming a hero.

A young boy's life journey from zero to hero, in a world where >90% of the population are practically X-Men.

Quite entertaining. Main character's courage and selflessness is commendable. That no. 1 hero may be the best of the best, but its very interesting to see how even he is not perfect and actually quite relatable (eg. he's finding it difficult to be a teacher, he makes mistakes, he's not all-knowing.etc). His overly heroic attitude is kinda amusing to see.

I am actively following this series.

I really enjoy this series! I wouldn't say its perfect but in a way its because of its not perfect its good. I enjoy the seriousness of the battle scenes and even the underlying fact the after the "fire" was past to a new "torched" the old "torched" began to lose its "light". (Don't wanna spoil too much.) I love the silliness and comedic side to this series. Even the quirkiness to the character isn't brushed off. Its still to early to judge since its now beginning to pick up, after all,,, the manga world is harsh and this series can meet some random, rushed ending. BUT anyways, its really fun and if you get a chance give it a try!

Honestly, yes, there is a lot of cheesiness, but that's what one should expect when reading Super Heroes Manga.
It has a really good art and the characters seem to be well thought. There isn't much to say about it since I have only read 16 chapters of it but so far so enjoyable. Really gets you into the story. The Super Villians are also well made and look badass, not some sissy-looking Villians.
If you are into Super Heroes, you should read this.

At first, it seemed to be a similar concept to that of One-Punch Man, but instead of an all powered main character, this one started from 0 and has pleeeenty of space to grow.

I like the characters and the pace, as well as all around-weaknesses instead of unbeatable heroes, and I quite like the art of this guy. Pretty enjoyable.

Usually I don't go for the kind of stuff where the hotbloodedness is so cheesy as here, but that is because it so often becomes a kind of mockery instead. But for some reason, it feels that Boku no Hero Academy has heart underneath it, not an underbeat of satire: it's just straight shounen hotbloodedness in a tiny, neurotic, explosive package.

Also pretty cute.

But we're up to ch 8 right now, so we'll see how far it'll get before fatigue sets in.

As it is, none of the characters have overstayed their welcome, and even the ones that feel they might have been annoying because they are so over-the-top (All Might comes to mind) don't. Check it out if you want some simple school superhero shenanigans.
