Great anime/manga. The puns and parodies are hilarious and the effort seemingly spent to create each chapter is great. The art is fabulous. However, it has a few flaws, but it is no doubt good. I've learned quite a bit about bread, fictionally and nonfictionally. Too bad SnoopyCool doesn't do licensed manga... I mean Yakitate!! Japan would be hard to translate without little side notes. Oh well. Hopefully, a new group will do Yakitate!! Japan so that we won't have to wait for millions of years until Viz catches up to right now.

Well, I don't know how to bake bread. I'm from Russia. And I see how the team from Russia looks-Cossack's caps(papaha) and baggy trousers or or participant from Egypt dressed upper half of body in pyramid...It irritate very much. Before i have read about it was really nice manga with funny story, after-i became more and more angry with every new chapter. I can't give more than 7.

It's got an original concept, great executioni, and awesome humor. The only thing that keeps it from being a true masterpiece is its HIGHLY formulaic natureand a couple minor misses with puns. The formulaic quality wouldn't usually bother me much, but it's been feeling a little draggy of late.

It's funny as well as educational. The art is well-made. All the characters are quirky and unique! I had a good laugh reading it! One of the BEST manga I've ever read and I've read a LOT [hundreds]!!!

An entertaining and somehow educational manga with a weird theme, unique characters, a good plot, funny puns, bizarre reactions and great art.

This is probably one of the best mangas I have ever read (which is a lot). The humour and storyline are both quite impressive, as they manage to support each other very well. I was never bored while reading it so I guess you can say that this is truly a must-read! Cute art as well, coz there's nothing worse than bad art ruining a good plot... :D

This manga can make me literally Rolling On the Floor Laughing, except that it's on the bed rather than the floor (the floor's hard ;_;). Most of the humor lies in Japanese puns, so good translation is essential. Whenever I read Yaki I always end up wanting to eat warm, freshly-baked bread.
