Description
During a flashback, an interviewer inquires Kuzumi Taiga, a prospective student for Seinagi Private High School, on what he would do if he could use magic, during his entrance interview. He replies, "take over the world", with an outburst of laughter, from an attractive girl, following his answer.
After the entrance exam, the school rejects his application; although he recalls almost nothing after this event, he does recall the girl, and believes the cause of his school of choice rejecting his application involves her.

this is one of the few mangas i've read that surprised a couple laugh out loud moments out of me. i loved the humor and the art and the stroy line. for some reason it seems like it was far far more popular with westerners than with the japanese. i wonder why? i think if it was licensed in sold in english they'ed find a different reception, and perhaps we would have been able to continue the story.so sad, there was so much potental here.
wish they'd make a sequel or something.
you'll probably hate the end but the manga is still worth reading,

I really wish that it hadn't ended but oh well. This mangaka is really great. I enjoyed his work with Pretty Face.
I find the shounen manga to have a better grasp on romance than shoujo. The random ecchi was very funny in this manga. My favorite chapter was 10(+2) Pudding. It was just such random ecchi humor.
I also liked the idea of a magical school without wands or Harry Potter. It is hard to break out an old idea and make it your own.

note that most people that hated this manga hate it because they want more of it. superb art, superb story, okay ending for an arc in a conventional manga. yes, very sad that there isnt more.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
it's a mangaka's manga, or a manga reader's manga. at times i think it's alot of negation of conventional manga-isms of this particular genre, and offered successful alternative to some of the usual pit-falls/eye-rollers:
(a) main char is suppose to be "the one", and power-up to no end, and become the strongest again and again.
(b) at the moment of crisis, the main char is suppose to become super-saiyan with aura overwetting everywhere and everything. and they dont ever need to use their brain.
(c) i think most manga readers expect a good series to go on forever and ever, till it doesnt even make sense anymore (think naruto)
(d) all the girls are suppose to be in love with the main char even though the main char is usually a douche.
(e) there are sexy/good premises at the beginning but no formal structure every existed before the execution of the manga itself. as time go on, everything becomes a cliche of another manga.
(f) OR there's only one type of villain: the bad guy. all that the main character does is fight the eternally available, or eternally unbeatable badness(es).
(g) special powers are not carefully formulated when necessary. usually they're left to some over-exaggerated pseudo-sciences that made you think you wish you knew less. or are based purely on emotions (love, hate/vengence)

The story doesn't develop and the main character never gets to use magic. Once he has the ability to power up its given to a stupid plant. I want to hit the mangaka as badly as I want to hit deepak chopra but the artwork and the romace is good I guess. Deserves an 8.
Then again the lack of power for the main character and the fact that the power up went to a fairy/plant hybrid pisses me off so basly that I'll give it a 7. What a stupid plot developement.
You know what I just read another reference to the same stupid plot development and it really makes me want to give this manga a six. Its like one of those newspaper comics that use a combination of gags and the status quo to stay entertaining. I'm on the verge of giving it a six.

As everyone already said, this is a great manga with a rushed ending. Most of the characters is easily likable, and the humor is just fresh. One of my favorite parts was when

everyone should keep in mind that mxo was cancelled so the mangaka didn't have much time to prolong the ending and make it good. overall i thought it was one of the best mangas out there, and the ending makes it easy to pick up for a season two.

Though the manga ended a bit quickly, it was an awesome manga. I do think that it shouldn't have ended like that, but overall was a good manga. There was so much potential to continue on for a couple hundred more chapters, but the ending was very sweet and leaves much room for a sequel. I do hope that a sequel is made because this manga is awesome, however I think it seems unlikely.

this manga had great potential to become a long running series atleast 250 chapters possibly 300. this manga had many great ideas, good characters, love the art style but i guess the Japanese market didnt think so. sadly it got canceled but the read is still a great one and for rushing a 300 chapter manga into only 99 chapters the ending was quite good.
i hate it when good mangas have to end because of low sales but hey its life.
all and all a great read if your taking a break from other series you are reading

This is an amazing manga too bad the Japanese people wasn't fond of it. I heard it was supposed to run up to 250+ chapters[up to his 3rd year].
Unluckily the manga got canceled because of its low ratings. However the ending was still good though it was rushed and I'd love to see Kuzumi fulfill Aika's dream
