I mean, the whole story revolves on her finding who she really is so it kind of makes sense, however, I wish she'd be a little more decisive when it comes to the romance. I'm not giving a review or anything like that though because I've only read 3 volumes and skimmed through volume 4. If anything, I may get into this later on when I have more time, but for now at least I'll add it to my lists so I don't forget about it in case I want to pick it up again.

The first anime has two arcs based on chapters up to 26 so you can pretty much skip them if you watched it already. Chapters 27 to 43 covers the next arc, which in and unto itself can be seen as a relatively conclusive ending. Story wise, it is your basic mahou shojou. Girl and friends transforms into magical costume and fight/purify cute little demon egg baby things. Definitely not the deepest of stories. If you're a fan of the art and like magical girl series, this is fine. This isn't really to my taste though.

I LOVE SHUGO CHARA!!!!
Look, yea even i gotta admit, you'd think after reading all those other childish mangas frm when u were in elementary skwl, you'd be deff ignoring this one since you're in either late middle skwl or highschool, i mean come on, a fifth grader?? cough cough, LaTeR~
But Shugo chara took me by complete surprise. I think this story is cute and adorable and For those who sa the characters aren't cute, you guys have got to be joking. This includes Tadase, as some would call the little prince kiddo. Yea yea, i thought his frilly outfit was really gayy but he has such a nice prince nature that most of the time, i can forget how disturbing the clothes are. Amu doesn't have long princess like hair or eyelashes that are THICk, but she does have a pretty side and that's what i like about this manga/anime. She is actually very pretty and pretty awesome.
Finally IKUTOOO
omgggg i luff Ikuto so muchhh!! like pretty much everyone does!!

Although the story starts off with Amu falling for Tadase and is still indebt to him throughout the whole series, her relationship with Ikuto grows sooo much. The anime is really slow compared to the manga, (although the graphics are betta in the anime) but you'd realise that Amu might decide a fateful decision in the end of chapter 42, after all the fighting against death rebel and the encounter with Gozen.

I know there are quite a nuimber of Tadamu fans out there but AMUTO is what has got to be.
Although i am Ikuto-Amu forever, i can understand why people want amu and tadase to be together, if ikuto wasnt in shugo chara (although i wud probably not watch it and it wud be a heck lota boring) i'd be totally fine with Amu chooding tadase with no hesitation.
I'm not saying that i want Tadase to get over amu if she chooses Ikuto, i cud neva forgive tadase if he never loved amu, even if she cohse ikuto and thats where i come to support the Tadamu club.
But i think amu shud not choose Tadase but choose Ikuto. That mean also keeping Tadase in her heart too.
LOOK FORGET IT, WAT IM SAYING IS, AMU SHUD CHOOSE IKUTO BUT KEEP TADASE CLOSE TO HER.

Yea call her a slut or a dog, but in ver special manga/animes like shugo chara, amu-ikuto-tadase are all an acception!!
   I want tadase to still love amu and i support Tadamu, but i will always truly be bound to AMUTO.
OMFFFFGGG!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? AFTAA 4 YEARS THAT IVE BEEN TRAILING AFTA THIS MANGA/ANIME, ITS FINALLY ENDED! PEOPLE MIGHT NOT HAVE REALISED JUST HOW DEEP THAT LAST CHAPTER WAS!!! AMU FINDS IKUTO BUT FEELS SHE SHUDNT MEET HIM SO LEAVES WITHOUT IKUTO KNOWING SHE WAS THERE (although he says her name>.<) TADASE IN THE FUTURE LIVES A LIFE WITHOUT HIS LOVED ONE AND FROM WHAT I READ (read it 52 times and ongoing) HE HASN'T FOUND A NEW LOVER. ANNDDD WHAT PEACH-PITT DONT MENTION IN THEIR 11 VOLUMES UNTIL THE END IS THAT THE EMBRYO IS ACTUALLY EVERYONE'S HEART'S EGG AND THAT WHEN YOU GROW UP, UR CHARAS MAY GO TO THAT EGG CRADLE PLACE BUT THEY ARE STILL INSIDE YOU (like inside their egg thast in you) AND THEY ARE THE RADIANCE INSIDE YOU!! SO SAD HOW DIA WAS AMU'S LAST RADIANCE AND THEIR TRIP WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT AMU'S PAST...Now she's chara-less, ikuto finds pleasure to place music thnx to an old geezer, and the other guardians/chara bearers have a bright future ahead.

Shugo chara (Doki) roxx my soxx (my personal favourite pink fluffly ones that is). (BTW i wear fluffy, pink socks >_<!!) I CANT BELIEVE THAT ENCORE IS JUST A FEW SIDE STORIES TO TIE UP THE LOOSE ENDS;( I WANTED SHUGO CHARA TO LAST FOR EVAAA (yes yes highly impossibly to think 'forever' but still..) <3

Ok, please break it to me. When I first started reading manga I thought:"15? What? That's a child, how can the characters be so young?" Now I've become numb to it, and even 14 is almost ok. But I draw the line there. So, here's my point, this series is rated quite highly, seems interesting, and there would be more than a few chapters to read, but I can't deal with the main character being in elementary school. Will she remain a child throughout the series, or grow up some?

i don't know about the manga but ik the anime is nuts,boring,weird,and the romance there is slower then my grandma. i mean siriusly... evil eggs?? wtf its a story u tell ur 3 year old kid before bed time.
i started reading this manga because it's ''recommended'' as people say and i hope it won't be like the anime. but i highly doubt that i'll grow to like the idea of evil eggs..and i hope the romance in the manga is better than the anime and not that slow..

I actually really liked this series when if first started. It was new, interesting and rather cute, but then I don't know, somewhere along the way the whole story dulled. Sure the characters were all really cute and all. Sure Ikuto is hot, but I don't know, I just can't seem to enjoy it. All I can say is this: If you want a story like Love Monster, this is it. But frankly this is not my cup of tea, no matter how much I like Ikuto and Kukai.

Okay, its started pretty good! interesting, surprising, cute!!! but it really did make from:
Awesome --> Nothing!

Art: pretty cute!! All the characters are well drawn!! The charas are cute!!

Plot: Interesting! It really started good but as it goes on, it becomes boring! i even slept when watching the last few episodes -.-

Ok, now things that disturbs me!!!

Amu: she is one of the characters that falls for a prince like boy!! she is too shoujo for this manga! i mean, how can a girl keep on saying 'Tadase-kun~' all the time!? She is just annoying! She does not care if Ikuto likes her or not! She was a bit different in the manga but in the anime, she is a...um... complete stupid shoujo character!! I watched the anime first, i did not read the manga cause i did not want to see that stupid girl again! How the hell can she be the heroine of this manga? even yaya is better 😛

Tadase: A jerk!! Hate him!! At first, he liked his dog! second, he liked amu when transformed! AND THEN, she likes Amu! and the girl still like him!! i mean, Ikuto liked her always, like she was, funny, clumsy and cute! but Tadase is a jerk!! first dog,then amu heart, then FINALLY Amu!! Tadase should disappear with his jelly crown baby thing!

Not enough in the side of minors: Well, they explained A LOT about the main characters (past for example) but they did NOT explain about the minors like yaya and kukai!! The spotlight is on the main like amu,tadase,ikuto!! the others barely have a time to shine!

Repetitive: Anyone noticed? It got repetitive! Found an 'evil' egg, amu comes, amu saves everyone!! she is always the one to save people!! Let's see yaya! she has duckies as an attack!? are they stupid? they make her a lowly character! i understand she is like a child but still! Amu has a lot! A lot of great powers! Seriously, amu saves the day! no one gets a chance to shine again! she takes all the spotlight!

I like Utau and Yaya more than amu 😛 i am younger than her yet i do have a brain and i am not THAT childish! what a shame over her!

Anyways, still a good story! IKUTO kyaaa <3

Reccommended to people who like typic shoujo and weak,stupid heroines!
NOT reccommended to people who are mature !!

It deserves a lower rating!!

At first, it had a lot of potential, I kept waiting and waiting for the next chapters like a freak. But... it slowly lost it's glow or whatever you wanna call it. I'll probably resume my reading on it once it's complete, but it's a rather disappointing read. Look elsewhere for something with more substance. And, yes, I'm rather nice with my ratings...
<3 Ikuto btw. The only reason I might complete the series.

I thought it was childish at first .. but after watching the anime (reading some of the manga too) .. it got me hooked !! I espicially adore Yaya ^^ she's just so cute !
but one thing that I hated was the Amu and Ikuto smmuty moment .. I think its sick and soo wrong .. she's in elemantry school dammit ! it just look like he's harassing her or something .. disgusting !
