It's realistic. The love progress. How's your feeling when you're holding hands,first kiss,hugs.meeting family. I like Chizu and Ryu's relationship more though. hehe~<3

Sawako could be a real character, I actually used be like Sawako when I was child, until I changed...
She is one of those few & unique characters that would scarcely exist in the real world, there's millions of people out there, why could there not be a "Sawako?" What's not realistic in Kimi ni Todoke is that poor Sawako would actually get eaten alive in "the real world," people aren't that nice & innocent...

Anyways, she grew up naive & innocent because she didn't experience certain stuff that most teens & children do.
And Sawako probably grew up with protective parents that didn't tell her about the cruelties of the world, they probably never told her about sex! She's living almost like a hermit & she's the way she is because since her parents haven't shown her the cruelties & stuff of the world or she hasn't experience such "bad" things herself. She sees it still the world beautiful, like a born child does. She's just not... "experienced," she's not yet... "tainted." She's still pure, & I'm very attractive to purity so I guess that's why I like Sawako very much. ♥

And I can totally relate to Sawako, though we aren't 100% alike, I know why she is the way she is, & hope she doesn't change because she is beautiful, kind, & pure. And I bet she could probably kick a** if her friends were in trouble.

So, yeah, there could be a "Sawako" out there or someone similar to her. I have a friend who's 16 & she's very kind, but naive & innocent (really she is, if you'd ask her a rhetorical question she'd actually answer & everyone says she has the mind of a child & other stuff), like Sawako, because of her overly protective & strict parents. She's not a lot like Sawako but she's similar in a way.

Now, anwyays, I like how sweet & refreshing this manga can be, it makes me smile when I read/watch Kimi ni Todoke because of Sawako's good heart. Not only do I obviously like Sawako, but I like her friends as well, especially Kurumi, not actually a friend but I like her, who I find more realistic than the bunch. The art is good & the story's alright. The sweetness, innocence, & happiness that obviously seeps through the pages is what I love most. ♥

Alright, now, time to get back to reality.

I would recommend this manga and anime to anyone. Even though the slow progress (or lack of progress) between the female and male lead, I really can't get annoyed with the plot. There's so many mangas where the relationships between the main characters progress far too quickly, but I believe that kimi ni todoke seems more believable or at least more innocent in comparison to a lot of other mangas. I also like how I don't really hate anyone in the manga or find them overly annoying or sinister. Though there are characters that get in between the main characters relationship, they have their reasons for their mean behavior and they end up knowing when to back off.

Yeah, the heroine gets a little frustrating at times, but damn, it's cute, isn't it? It's one of my favorite light hearted reads. Plus, even though it has a very optimistic tone, it's a lot more what high school is like than other shoujo mangas are. I think the pace is nice, and I haven't seen a lot of nicely "slow-paced" relationships in a while. A lot of them tend to be filled with a bunch of random events that wear me out and make me exasperated, but this manga gives you hope (:

This manga was very cute and sweet. It's really rare to see the male lead to be as sweet at Kezehaya. Read this if you want read a relaxing and cute manga.

This manga is incredible, the characters are well thought out and evocative. You really get a feel for the lead characters and their personalities. Though Sawako's personality is that of a long suffering saint, you would think that after all that she had been through that she would atleast carry one tiny grudge, but as far as the scanlations have gotten at this point in time she is still as pure as white snow. The pace isn't slow, it's actually a strong point of the series, you get to experience every detail of Sawako's awaking feelings. All in all it's a wonderful series and I wish that the scanlations would pick up the pace, I am impatient to know what happens next.

Honestly one of the most pure and sweet shoujo manga in existence!

I usually find the heroin of shoujo stories irritating and whiny. But Sadoko is very lovable! And Kazehaya is SUCH a nice guy but he isn't one of those typical good-looking player types.

No words of praise can do this manga justice. Just read it and enjoy!

I love it, what more can i say? I love the Sawako's innocence the most. Although people have assumed many things about her, she tries hard to get them to understand her true personality; it's so inspiring to watch her efforts. All the characters are lovable too, and the plot is very very cute and realistic. I seriously cried reading one chapter. Kazehaya is adorable and i wish hope the best for him and Sawako. I was moved so much by this manga that i just had to comment here about it. I normally don't comment because the other mangas i read haven't etched much of an impression into me. This is a manga that i really recommend!!

This manga is really slow-paced so those who hate slow-paced story or romance..then I do not recommend this manga to you. At first I wasn't really interested,but when I kept reading it, I really enjoyed it although I feel like the mangaka is dragging this for too long. I think the mangaka should wrap it up now..

I love how this manga does concentrate on details. The artwork is very beautyful and lovely done. A refreshing opposite of so many rushed shojo-maga I have read in the past. That way it really gives you the feeling of love.

edit: buuuut it got boring. i cannot lay my finger on the exact chapter, but somehow I find myself bored and stubborn to read at the same time. 82 chapter so far. How can I give up now? xD But I kinda wish, I dropped it after the main couple got together finally.
