One thing, Male MC is creepy. He has stated this, and so have others. They are all aware, so this really doesn’t mean much at the end of the day if everyone recognizes it.

Hiyami in no way, shape, or form is more mature than Tagami.
People just dislike the fact that men in manga can get jealous, and have feelings. Is he not supposed to be jealous of a random male he doesn’t know much about getting close to his girlfriend? Even with confirmation from her, why invalidate his feelings? He’s uncomfortable, he’s supposed to be, that’s her boyfriend. And Hiyami is a random male.
They state Hiyami is more mature because he doesn’t make advances on Tsugomi since she’s taken…yeah no duh? That’s the bare minimum. No one wants to be a homewrecker, lol. Why should he make advances if she has a BF? Use common sense.
And then they state he is more mature because he’s happy she is with that. That isn’t maturity, that simply acceptance. He knows he can’t be with her, lol. He simply likes that she is happy, that doesn’t show maturity. As her so called “Friend” he should want her to be happy.

She thinks about it for a while, lol. She stands there, facing him, simply looking. She hesitates multiple times, so of course he would assume. Use common sense, if my girlfriend is hesitating when I ask a question it shows that there most be some confirmation of feelings.

He didn’t put her in the corner, he asked her a genuine question. Why shouldn’t he ask this? This is a random male, getting close to his GF. Is he just supposed to be unbothered? Hold in his feelings. Tsumugi literally states herself that he is continually holding back how he feels. So the one time he asks these questions, he’s at fault. Is he not supposed to expressive himself to his GF.
Yes, it’s hypothetical. But don’t females all the time ask hypotheticals and get upset? Even if it’s a hypothetical, what would happen if the situation does come around. It’s a genuine question, that needs a genuine answer.

Y’all(second lead lovers), think just because the second lead is nicer(for the small amount of time they’re shown compared to the ML, because the ML also has been there from the beginning, when they(FL)have their problems), while the Second Lead always comes around when the Female Lead is “Fixed” or better looked at by others. Overall, Second Leads will always be trash. Same with Hiyami.
