Poor the guy who got caught up in their stupid love.
The last chapter really saved this manga. The moments and the dialogue were really good to the point that I kept going back and forth reading each panel over and over again, I guess the time I spent on the last chapter was more than the time I spent on all the other chapters combined. The other chapters were okay but they were kindaaaa...empty? There definitely could've been more there. But again the last chapter is something to be remembered (the moment of Miki raising his hands to cover his ears, ugh that was so real and sad)
A story worth reading in general.
i suck at writing reviews, but i really like this story that i somehow end up writing one. if i may say, miki has pretty much my personality, maybe that what makes me fall in love with this story. that aside, this manga has something a bit different to offer for love-triangle story. it's realistic and i could totally feel and relate to everyone in this manga. the painful, sadness, complicated and confused feelings. it's kinda hard for me to convey what i truly feel about this manga but all i could say is the manga-ka totally did a good job and won me over. read this, guys.
p/s: maybe the sex is not that great but it's satisfying enough for a great story like this.
I agree with pretty much everything shoujo_forever said. The only thing I really have to disagree with is the artwork. I didn't think it was uncommon, and for this type of manga I would have liked a cleaner style... but overall, it's a good manga.
From the summary, we can tell it's going to be a love-triangle. The simplicity of the summary already captured how, what, this manga will bring us, simplicity of love. How simple it is to be tangled in it, how simple one can be cruel and to be unaware of it. Yes, all of this relate to the manga.
The mangaka did a great job in the story-telling. It's one of the highlights of her works. She managed to flawlessly wove the elements necessary to make one affair seems more heart-wrenching. The story isn't really brilliant, I'm sure some of us have encountered this type of plot but we can't really escape from cliche, right? That is why characters interaction and story-telling is vital to some of us who are looking for 'a story'. For me, this manga has both.
Moreover, it is also hugely due to her style of art, which is uncommon in yaoi mangas but yet is perfectly fresh and fits the mood of her works. The art is simple, very basic and unelaborated. It felt honest. This really compliments the bitter sweet feeling this story gives off.
To those looking for hot sex, you can stop reading this and find other manga. To say this, I'm not saying the sex scenes are uninteresting but it will be, for those who didn't get into the story. Honestly, I was gripping my hands due to the story in the sex. It helps to portray the bitter action of the character.
If it weren't for the comment below, I wouldn't even think to comment since I feel like everyone can predict what to be expected but I had to since I don't want anyone to be put off without even trying. Some, perhaps will agree and perhaps hate the character/s for doing such a cruel thing but I think the characters' actions are believable without exaggeration. It is what certain people will do when they are truly in love.
theres more sex scenes between 2 people that dont even end up together rather than the main couple. we know EVERYTHING about their sex life and then they break up and the main characters have one boring sex scene. yeah, real interesting.
