I liked Mei and Real Yurara. Yako was a possessive douche. Guardian Spirit Yurara is...

The cause of all the suffering the other 3 face. She was selfish. She causes Real Yurara to do things that hurt others. Real Yurara was sad that she was hurting Yako's feelings as well, but that wasn't the case. It was all the Guardian Spirit's fault that his feelings were being hurt.

Comical ghostbusters and bittersweet romance

Rooting for Yurara, the ghost, and Yakou. Love that pair! Like the play on polar-opposites too. Water vs fire. Light-haired vs dark-haired. Intellectual vs airhead. Cool vs passionate. Shy vs shameless. Calculating vs spontaneous. etc...

I mean, it was okay. The whole seeing spirits thing was definitely interesting. Though to be honest, my only real problem with the story was probably the characters and how they all fell in love. To me, their feelings felt rather forced, and there was no real sense of development over the course of the story to explain why they felt the way they did.

Well, I'm off to read the sequel, especially after hearing such good things about it. Hopefully, the characters are better developed with a more realistic approach on the romantic aspect.

= = Nothing close to being as good as the sequel.

Story... it's the simple run-of-the-mill pointless shoujo who has a female lead that simply pisses you off. There's really no reason behind the romance, no logic. One guy kisses her then boom! She fell in love. Another confesses then suddenly she's head over heels for him too = =.
The whole idea of the story is simple, very cliche. You have a girl who is kind wavering and useless as well as very selfish, you have tragic pasts, you have guys falling meaninglessly for the protagonist. Self sacrifice that really isn't needed, crybaby, guts over anything else, what else can you ask? The whole idea of ghosts doesn't change it up that much, all it does is change one soul into two while usually it's the same soul that falls for two guys.

Art is pretty good, but a far distance off from Rasetsu. Well, the guys are still gorgeous... but feels like a 90s manga mixed with the more recent style. While in Rasetsu, the chars are just drop dead hot, there's no mix-breeding or mutant in that. Kinda like a before-after of the mangaka's improvement.

Well, for me, the only thing that's worth reading for this is the fact that this is a prequel. I wanted more of Rasetsu and I got it.

I really loved this manga (: The only downfall would be i would've liked to see the romance between the characters go more into depth :\ there wasnt much feeling in there. But overall i looved it, and the art <3 i'd definitely recommend Kemonotachi no Yoru if you liked this one; its another one of the mangaka's work.

I'm waiting for what will happen next! Some parts of the story seem to drag and frankly I get frustrated with the whole guardian spirit not moving on thing, but for the most part this is a very interesting and enjoyable manga. I like the art and the characters have begun to really grow. If you in the mood for a good tale you should read this.

its cute, light of drama (so far), and its really funny in its quirky ways xD

This manga was pretty cute. Fairly typical shoujo fare, with a love triangle, a super-powerful main character, lots of comedic cute moments, and very few surprises. The love triangle doesn't turn out quite as expected, which I was glad for. The manga isn't great, but it's not a bad read, and quick, too.

This was quite the supernatural manga, here we have for the first time four main characters and one is a guardian spirit. The romance was as good throughout as i was hoping. Certainly one of the better stories from this genre.

the manga was really cute. i'm still kinda put off by the fast paced romance (certain characters fall in love TOO quickly..)
