Sota Kitaoka, 20 years old, working at Ginza's famous "Tomikyu" under a strict but passionate boss, struggling and aiming to be a chef. One day he will make food that reaches peoples hearts...
41 Volumes (Complete)

This manga tells the story of Sota Kitaoka, a young cook apprenticing at Tomikyu, a prestigious japanese restaurant.I think it's a Kaiseki Ryori type, akin to Haute Cuisine. This is the first time I read a manga about this kind of food so all of the menus are so new and mouth watering lol.
Don’t expect any food battles like in Shokugeki no Soma, cooking master boy or the others. This one is geared toward mature audiences who like slice of life drama. Kind of like Yokohama Chinatown Fantasy (I recommend this one as well if you like fried rice only manga)
Sota has talents, but he really starts from the bottom so is pretty young when the manga begins. As the story progress he matures as a competent chef. Nice to see how he progresses slowly... He's a very honest, calm character type that's close to boring but remember we are here for the food lol. There are no evil characters in this book.
The supporting casts are interesting too, and each will have their own story/struggles. The early 1-15 books focuses on life at Tomikyu, but the latter episodes begins to dive into heavy matters like owning a restaurant, struggles of Tomikyu succession, finding your own path etc.
TlDr: this is a very good food manga. If you want to see Haute Cuisine, look at this one. It's also available as ebooks
