By reading these two you get a taste of what Kunieda-sensei is capable of. Even with this being one of her earlier works, she has such great range.
Aishite Darling is hilarious, cracky and cute. Fuyu no Sanpomichi is lovely, sad, and deals with AIDS reactions pretty realistically.

Despite the supernatural elements of the story, Winter Walk is the most realistic depiction of homosexuality and AIDS I've seen in manga. Sakai handles her topic with grace and emotion. It's one of those oneshots everyone has to read at least once.
This is a very sad and touching story about love, life and death.As many other works of Kunie-sensei (or Kunieda-sensei) this one have a beautiful draw and is filled with emotions in a well written story.
