This manga is truly like an embodiment of the word "lovely". It is lovely in every aspect; its plot is lovely, its characters lovely, its art is lovely.
And it shoujo; shoujo at its best. I truly wish there were more shoujo works like this; it subtly turns the gender roles that we are so used to upside down and in a very normal manner that you don't even realise they are turned upside down... characters are adorable but not flat, they have depth and you are able to empathise pretty easily. Art is both neat and quite cute and pleasing. It is uplifting and inspirational.
If you are bored with sappy romances and want to read something that, despite its amazing sweetness and adorable art, is not deadpan cliche or full of terribly flat characterisations, then read this.
Chubby, plump cheeks. Cannot stop flipping pages just to see more chubby cheeks...
The manga is full of visual candy of lots of babies, and cute ones as well !
The story focus on Ryuuichi and Kotaro as brothers and most likely there will be some stories covering the other babies as well. I am pretty satisfied how the story is going so far, it's not overly dramatic but you can still feel the emotion.
The story is fairly light, the kind of reading that you will read and it will make you happy.
Every single chapter puts a huge smile on my face. Many tug hard on my heart strings. And I have never grown bored--not once!--in almost seven volumes! This mangaka has a talent for the storytelling of the every day.
This is probably one of the cutest mangas I've ever read. I love the relationship between Ryuuichi and Kotarou. They have a strong bond and there aren't many shoujo mangas I have read that are like that. Did I mention how cute the babies are. I can't get enough of those chubby cheeks and tummies!!! Give it a try and love it as much as I do.
So this was a series I was skeptical to start reading at first, it seemed a bit too sappy for my tastes. Well now that I've started reading it I can confirm that yes it is pretty cheesy at times but that doesn't mean it's not full of heart. For one I think that this may be impossible to hate, if you find someone that completely dislikes this manga they may be some sort of emotionless serial killer. Practically every page is bursting with these super adorable children that it's hard not to smile from just the visuals alone. On top of that though there's still the interaction between all of the characters, with plenty of scenes where people bond with each other and the imparting of life lessons. The relationship of brotherly love between Ryuuchi and Kotarou in particular is extremely touching, it's refreshing to see an older brother who has such unconditional devotion to a sibling.
Sometimes I do wish they'd focus on the non-children characters just a bit more because I think that would help the story feel a bit more rounded but that's a pretty minor complaint. The only other issue I even have is that the story pulls on your heart strings enough that it could start to feel a bit... emotionally manipulative at times. The children in particular are so small and have such large innocent faces that when they're sad you really feel it. This is probably also a weird complaint but it is something I thought while reading.
I really like this story. It feels like a manga someone made because they wanted to make it, not because they thought it would appeal to the most amount of people. Every aspect of the story has a lot of heart to it, and when I read it I frequently had to stop because I would get the feels. Give it a shot, if nothing else it's charming and doesn't feel like a cliched story premise.
is the kind that shows us the inner workings of human emotion without falling into the mundane or trite. Stories don't have to be action packed to be enthralling. Discovery is an everyday occurrence if we just look for it in ourselves and those around us. This story manifests the best of human emotion with a solid character line and incredible sweetness. Great read. Not thrilling but very heart warming.
I don't remember reading a manga with a theme as this. It is absolutely beautiful, moving, charming and mesmerizing. It will make your heart ache and you will probably start thinking how nice it would be if you were a babysitter, or a bigger brother/sister. Absolutely beautiful manga!!!
I can tell no more, since it must be read for full enjoyment and bliss 🙂
the first chapter made me cry. it is not a sad manga, but quite good and sweet in its own way. heartwarming, if you don't hate children and like those warm stories then this manga is for you.
haven't read alot yet since it is still ongoing, so depending on the future chapters, i might up the rating.
So far IMO this manga doesn't feel yet that realistic compared to Aka-Chan to Boku. Now THAT is one anime i really recommend. Gakuen Babysitters has the same setting as Aka-chan to Boku, which is why i read it in the first place.
Idk about the comment who is beneath me, u know im reading crayon shinchan and doraemon since i was child and Shinchan always Kindergarten (tbh there a chapter in manga when Shinchan goes to elementary school or become adult) but then the story comeback to shinosuke being kindergarten child again.. or like Nobita always bein in 5th grade all my life but its just how the story goes and.. seeing the genre this manga its comedy and slice of life. oferall this is so good i love this manga and anime too so cute ans adorable ( ˘ ³˘)❤
