Description

I re-read this manga at least once a year since it's so great. Although the art can seem basic at times, the style is just so great and the girl is too cute. The plot is always advancing with ups and downs, twists and turns and is entertaining to read no matter how many times I've read it. The characters are interesting and have good depth. The ending is great. Just a great manga.

There is only one good thing about this manga: the fresh style of how the main male/ men in the manga are drawn. It's cool.

When it comes to drawing anything female, the artist knows one style and it's "lolitacon bait". I'm serious. There's an adult female who enters as a love rival for the fucking 12 year old and she's drawn exactly the same but with huge ass tits and hair extensions.

The manga constantly throws you these ludicrous plots and you're supposed to sympathize with the male because people thought his curly hair was odd in school. Wow, how traumatizing. Really makes complete sense that he's the hero of the story when he actively, creepily pursues the female protagonist - who by the fucking way, looks no older than 8 or 9.

He does become infatuated and obsessed right away. He breaks into her school, goes to her home without permission, shoves another male child who brought up the idea of kissing her (but did nothing). The author really thinks the fans will see the embarrassed and sheepish looks on the 30 year old man's face and go away shucks he don't mean nobody no harm.

The people against the relationship have barely valid points but they're portrayed as irrational obstacles and are never defended against. Is it brought up how gross it is that he's pursuing a child? Nah, the issue is more like "the age Gap is kinda large". Is it brought up that he's a pedophile? Nah, it's more like he works for an erotic game company so he's a kyaa~ pervert.

It's literally propaganda and if you're rolling your eyes after reading this review, congratulations: it got you, idiot.

This ACTUALLY is a pure manga. The author went through several measures to make that clear. I wrote a review about it going over how that works. That said, it's SO pure that quite often the main character can be ludicrously naive. Ludicrous is the right word; he makes several decisions that defy common sense. As a cute series, this is definitely diabetes-inducing, but a few hangups keep me from highly recommending it.

Those Whacky Japanese!

They'll try anything to make a new kind of story. Here we have a guy around 30 with...what would you call it...I guess a "crush" on a middle school girl. And note, NO SEX. It's rather cute, sweet, and touching. The only real problem is that the guy is purposely made pretty unattractive—always wearing that bulky coat and all. I guess that was done so dorky Japanese guys could identify. That aside, it's a pretty good story, though it gets pretty unbelievable toward the end.

Look I think this is a pretty touching manga and all but there are just some moments that are just too weird. It goes well beyond the limit when the main character is literally sneaking into the school of the teenager he's romantically interested in. I guess it wouldn't be so weird if he at least, you know, tried to date a woman his age. This just sometimes comes across as stalking more than romance. Heck in the story whenever someone finds out they react appropriately (shock and disgust) which should pretty much tell you something. I know that the manga artist is trying his hardest to make this story not creepy, I get that. They imply very heavily that they won't do anything sexual until she is well into maturity. In the end though it just never set right with me and near the end I was clicking through pages just to get it over with.

I was really afraid to read this manga...

Because I HATE loli/pedo porn plot circumstances!

But...

Fictional manga reality... check.
Legality of age (in Japan) check... (thus She has 12 when they first met!)
Sex... NO (Great!) check...
Age gap... 30 to 13 (29 to 12)... 17 years older... That and age of Heroine is the mostly controversial part, but see point 1 and 2! It is legal in Japan, in some circumstances...

If not those above I will never read this manga. But I am glad I did it 🙂

If She was 3 years older (16), it will be just another plain manga with younger Heroine falling in friendship/love/sex in older guy, which nobody cares about it, until some ecchi, porn stuff.

Those controversial parts make this special.

If this contain sex, it will be awful, like under aged porn with plot... (Bleee).

But He loves Her like an uncle, step father, and waited for Her to be grown up! In final chapters I almost felt sorry for Him, when He try to confess, thinking that He WILL be rejected. It was pure, not stained with adults point of "sex" view love.

Age gap is not so important, when it does not affect minors, but since in Japan this age is legal...

Well, whatever. They where pure enough to do not harm each other, and He respectfully wait for Her to be grown enough mentally, and physically. Still creepy, but yet awesome and the comedy parts make it even warmer 🙂

Well if you manage to get past the initial idea and read this you are in for a very enjoyable ride.
It's cute, pure, hilarious and touching. If you can relate to the main character, that is.

A somewhat realistic perspective will be that this story is just an otaku's ideal dream for an angel. The ending was a bit disappointing though and didn't go very far in what happened later.
Still I would recommend this; I myself put this manga off many times before, but it turned out to be a good short read.

Not many author can make a seemingly lollicon theme for a manga to be sweet and not disturbing..
Kazumi's love for the middleschooler is pure and true..
I really like their relationship and I don't care about their age gap...
I admire the middleschooler for accepting Kazumi despite his rugged looks and otaku-ish personality and she is willing to go out with Kasumi when she's a bit older.
I salute Kasumi for being patient for the girl and is willing to wait for her no matter how long he waits..

It's not weird at all to fall in love with someone whose waaaaaay younger than you.
As long as their feelings are genuine and true and they truly care for each other..
I really like this heart warming and funny story..
A must read!!!!

well i read this and the it was pretty funny at times but couldnt really get around the premise much its just really weird to try to make a love story out of a pedophile and a 13 year old lol im not trying to say this to insult this manga but lets not try to sugarcoat what this is but it was still a funny manga
