Description

After Kawasumi rescues her from an unwelcome admirer, Suiren finds herself captivated by him. However, Suiren is too shy to speak to anyone, much less this reserved karate boy. Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Why da hate towards Suiren? I think she's one of the best female leads I've seen in a while. Okay not the best, but at least I'm not running away from my laptop because of the idiotic choices that were made. I'm not annoyed with her personality at all and considering her childhood trauma I think she's changing. It may be slowly, but that's how it is in real life and that's what I love about this manga. Sure her beauty isn't realistic, but that's a different story!

Her lack of facial expressions and words doesn't mean that she's acting like a doll. There are people who are naturally silent and socially awkward, this is why when she says her little words/phrases and smiles ever so slightly (or wholeheartedly in the most recent chapters) it makes the moments precious. Also, because she was introduced as a shy character, it makes the most recent chapter released (12) even better.

Not only did she ask him once to go with her to see the fireworks. She did it TWICE, three times if you include her pointing at the poster and not saying anything. My little Suiren has grown up ;A;

I think the male lead is awkward in a good way too! He has his moments when I think he's a loser for acting the way he does in front of Suiren when he's nervous, but that's what makes it so much better. My boyfriend sometimes acts the way he does when he's embarrassed, I find it adorable <3

This is to those who say the development is slow. It is slice of life, most slice of life mangas are slow paced, like Love so Life (an amazingly adorable manga as well if I may add!). If she were to suddenly change and become extremely aggressive after two chapters, I bet there would be someone complaining about how the pace of the story is too fast. I guess you just can't make everyone happy. However, I'm loving this manga and looking forward to the next chapter. So I hope you'll pick it back up.

This is so cute, the drawings, the characters, the story. It really makes you wonder what happens next. Each chapter makes you want to read the next but each chapter feels so short and then you have to wait until the next one gets released....
so far the story has been good. It hasn't felt too slow or dragging so hopefully it doesn't turn incredibly slow just to keep the manga long or something...

I have read all 8 chapters that are out. I have been following the raws as well and it is up to chapter 14. It started slow but from what I could tell about the coming chapters, it gets better and better.I hope they continue scanlating it.

so super cute... both of the main characters are adorable!! The main girl is super pretty but the plot (at least for now) doesn't follow the cliche of her being bullied by other jealous girls so I can't wait to see more <3

Getting a little old...

At 1st it was cute, but after 400 pages of them not speaking to each other and stealing a look here and there, it's getting to be a bit much... People keep describing this as sweet and fluffy but i don't think it's even entered the sweet stage yet. The guy is a little weird and a full fledged emotional wuss and i do t think he's said more then 1 word to the girl as of yet. I keep thinking the next chapter will be the breakout chapter, but it's not happening!

Such a cute couple

Kawasumi and Suiren are one of the cutest couples I've seen. I love how they were both shy innocent people. The only character I hated was

Atohira. He is such a shitty friend to Kawasumi. He tries to make a move on Suiren multiple times and even acts like a prick when Kawasumi tells him to stop.

So freaking cute! The (EXTREMELY) slow romance is super refreshing. And the best part it has no "typical" shoujo misunderstandings (aka no third wheels that completely screw up the main couple or odd misunderstandings that take 8 chapters to realize it was a misunderstanding). It's a couple that slowly come together and stay together. They talk things out, they try to understand, and they work things out together. Like a couple should.

I unfortunately only have one issue with it, and that's that the kiss scene(s) is not great.

The mangaka has such great build up to sweet moments (like when they hug or the love confession(s)), but the kiss scene is just... boring. It has a build up, it has a aftermath, but the frame itself, just does nothing for me. Either of them (the MCs and the SCs scene). And that totally sucks.

But seriously the sweetness and cuteness of this couple is just on total overload, it's amazing to read. From the first page to the last the MC is just as well drawn and cute. It's a couple that has been a pleasure to watch develop.

Eyy yaaa... This is so embarrassingly cute...
I like it a lot so far. I don't have a lot to say regarding the characters' depth or what not because it has been only 3 chapters, but I'm definitely going to follow this one through. 🙂

I'm so glad I left this manga to grow. I just caught up to chapter 21 right now, with not having read it since ch. 3... So it's been some times since I last read it.
I'll just say that this manga takes a long, long time develop. It's adorable in its purity--a direct approach to innocent romance. I quite like it. The plot, ie the romance, doesn't progress fast at all. The protagonists dance around each other a lot out of awkwardness and newness of it all. It is still cute without being irritating. Usually I can be impatient with straight shoujo manga because it can sometimes be too conservative for my taste, but I surprise myself by not dropping this manga when it gets slow. I think it must have to do with the incredible art.

Characters: I quite like the main guy character. He's shy, but very hardworking and determined. I don't really like the female lead toooo much. She's pretty, sure, but I'd like to see some substance behind that doll-like face of hers... Like some past stories or defining characteristics other than meekness and "doesn't like to talk." I've come close to screaming some times when she shakes her head. Some spunk would be nice.

I'll keep following it, but I'll let this one sit for a while and accumulate 10+ chapters before I pick it up again... Otherwise I'll lose interest.

Not your usual shoujo

You know how in most shoujo stories, there will always be that main character who extremely likes the other main then chasing will happen until that other main falls in love too? Or if that ain't the case, the two leads falls in love with each other and suddenly becomes together in just a few chapters? Take this story differently.

Such purity and innocence. Too many cute scenes. It's a refreshing read. I still have a lot more to say but I'd end up spoiling adorable stuff. Try this!
