A Happy Ending for Villains

Description

Sasha is the cunning villainess in the novel "War Wagon of Fire" who uses the evil sons of the Serpente Family to plunge the Xerkesia Empire into chaos. But when the reader wakes up as a younger version of Sasha who's trapped in a hidden corner of the Serpente manor with the Serpente children, she's baffled because this was never mentioned in the novel. The children's uncle claims it's only for a week to protect them from the plague that killed their parents, but when a week passes without anyone letting them out, Sasha senses that dark intentions are afoot...

Translation, Adaptation, Pacing All Not Too Great

It was a fun read. You could complete it in a day or two and you would have an enjoyable time because the premise is good and the story stays on plot.

However, the official translations were not good, they needed to be proofread. A lot of the sentences did not flow together. The SFX font was a bad choice. The letter "a" was just wonky and hard to discern. The pacing had problems throughout the story. Many of the side characters were not formally introduced so when their names were mentioned, you as a reader would have to guess who it was referring to.

All in all, I had fun; it just needed better care by the english publishers and maybe a better editor for the novel adaptation or more storyboard drafting to get story flow right.

I loved this. 8/10! It lived in my head for years...until I got to ch 55 and beyond. Shit went down hill real quick.

It honestly felt like another writer took over.

I'm so upset. I tried reading the novel but it's just not the same. 2/10

Gotta admit the ending for the final villain and his punishment was chef's kiss BEAUTIFUL. That ending alone gets this back to a 4.

love Sasha because she atypical even for a morally ambiguous revenge heroine. She doesn’t care about people’s impressions of her or her reputation. She’s willing to use whatever is available to carry forward her plans.

You know the way sasha plotting everything is just so subtle and it doesn’t even feel dramatic but really straight on point and that’s just so classy ✨

This is not your average revenge story! I like how Sasha is straightforward and doesn't beat around the bush and how she refuses to be guilt-tripped. It's hard for people who didn't experience the kind of trauma that she (or they) did to understand that vengeance is the only thing that will bring her peace. Yes, you can sympathize all you want Ashad, but you weren't there when everything happened. So yeah, Benya all the waaay!

The FL is playing the villains like a fiddle. damn. i think that this is the first time i've seen a scheme go so smoothly. usually the author makes something go wrong so they can have their deus ex ML moment.

I'm real worried about Sasha, but this plot is SO enjoyable to see. Seeing a bunch of delusional white knights running around of their own volition because they can't imagine a woman standing on her own, and then her taking advantage of it to an immense degree is quite gratifying.

this one should have been at least 150+ series. The novel is ridiculously good with more POV, like Alfonsina's experience living with Lethias before Sasha' return and how different her friendship with Sasha compared to the white b+++

Sad but familial

A sad story about kids in unfortunate circumstances. I did like the schemes and the desire to protect each other, but at some points I was a little confused by them. The ending is nice, though I wish there were side stories to wrap things up more

As of ch. 33:

So far it's pretty good. First thirty chapters are background exposition and it does a pretty good job of establishing the main characters' motivations and feelings. Art isn't the greatest but also isn't too bad. Likewise while none of the characters particularly stand out, none of them are annoying either. Hoping the plot is good, bc the premise of a mafia family of sorts is a fun one.
