I thought it looked interesting and gave it a couple of try to no avail. This manga just tried so hard to be cool and failed miserably. There are people liking it, but too bad it got cancelled because of the author's indecency.

been year since it got axed and since I finished read this series. This manga left a great impact for me as in I kept looking for the same manga that have this quality, but sadly I've never found it. The author succes at making us happy and angry, happy because of his works and angry about what he did.
Before the news of his criminal behaviour I've said this to myself "this one gonna be big, especially the anime"

I just don't understand why he did this to himself when Act-Age was literally one of WSJ's most popular manga series during that time getting back-to-back color pages almost every chapter, it was even supposedly announced to receive an anime adaptation, if it actually happened Act-Age could have been WSJ's next big hit which could've possibly surpassed Demon Slayer in popularity, but no, the author decided he wanted to touch middle schoolers thus screwing over himself and Act-Age's potential success in the future, smh

The drawings are really beautiful and and story progresses at a steady pace giving you enough time to love the protagonist and the supporting characters. It really hooks you to know what each chapter will make the protagonist develop as an actress and person. One of the best manga's I am reading at the moment. Waiting for each chapter to be released and hoping an anime adaption would be green lighted!

I really liked this series. Each episode felt as thought out as the next, and the suspense hedged on character growth rather than prolonged dramas between characters. Bummed to hear the series was axed following storywriter's alleged and acknowledged inappropriate conduct.

Surely you don't want to skip a great manga 😍 it's really amusing, you gonna be captured by the art and the development and how great it is in all aspects .

Just recently found this manga, I honestly thought that show business themed manga would be boring, but I was mistaken the moment I read this manga. This is a real masterpiece. It gives you goosebumps everytime the MC successfully improve herself and wrapped up her acting beautifully.

Honestly this is the first time ever I feel so overwhelmed with a manga as this manga successfully deliver such the depth feel about the main topic (in this case is acting).

Compared to the somewhat similar runway de waratte, this is a plain disappontment.

I tried to read this manga more than twice but everytime I couldn't even finish the first chapter.

I mean what's up with the adult-sounding twins younger siblings who are being treated like your normal kids, those who do not even know how to properly wash themselves yet, dispite talking like Child Emperor (the S-rank hero from one punch-man)?
And what was the meaning of the director seating on an office table in front of the campany's CEO? Was that a contortionist audition or something?

One thing I like about this manga is that as the main character Yonagi Kei grows, she's also helping everyone she comes in contact with to grow as well. It kind of reminds me of Skip Beat, or more strangely, Phoenix Wright in that way. Kei is inspiring in her transformation from the start of the series into who she is now (as of Chapter 53). She's always an underdog compared to her esteemed peers like Hoshi Akira, Momoshiro Chiyoko, Myoujin Araya, but whenever she's in a scene with another actor, she ends up taking the spotlight.

I think it will be exciting to see her interactions in the future with the star actress of the previous generation, Hoshi Arisa, and what feelings that will bring to light.
