I don't even know where to begin. The premise of this story was promising, but it seems as though this mangaka was unable to write good characters with a well told story.
I will start by saying this though, save yourself the frustration and skip this entirely. I don't care what any other reviewer has said. This story has nothing to offer anyone.
If you want action, the action is chaotic and portrayed poorly. If you want humor, the humor is very sparse and not all that great. If you want shounen ai, this isn't actually it. I don't know who this was made for. Seems like it was just practice for the mangaka that should've stayed in the archives.
Almost nothing has been accomplished in 3 volumes. I don't care about a single thing that is happening, and the plot unfolds so clumsily it fails to properly convey what exactly IS happening. The story starts off teasing a serious plot with high stakes (people could die), and that is not at all what this is. Its honestly a joke how quickly that seriousness is kicked to the curb.
The characters don't get any time to develop and as a result seem so one note. Kaito loves to game, and obsesses over Nata's cuteness. (Which for some reason to me gives off a weird shotacon vibe)
We learn next to nothing about the other 3 characters (at least from what I gather) and they are not all that likeable. Just run of the mill characters that posses the personalities you'd expect. Silly boy, cool guy, calm and collected girl, loud and wild tsundere girl.
Im dropping this after finishing the first 3 volumes. I should have followed the advice of other reviewers but I was reeled in by the prospect of an action oriented, fantasy shounen ai. Once they went to the school and a kidnapping/rape subplot started about the pervy old teacher I completely lost hope.
The art is decent for the most part, everything else falls flat on its face.
