The story of Kuraku Asuka, a tough junior high student who gets involved with the gang scene in the Kabuki Chou Ichibangai, a rough area of Tokyo.
27 Volumes (Complete)

The style is old fashioned and rightfully so considering the time it was made. I haven't found a complete scanlation so I've only read it up to the beginning of volume 2. I agree with the previous user. But readers should tred with caution since it does contain a few mature themes, which is expected of a manga dealing with delinquents and gangsters. Asuka herself is a good heroine and there should be more like her. She's not really cruel to her parents as she is tsundere toward them a bit. She yells, but she won't hit them. If you're looking for cliche and girly; you've got the wrong manga.
This is a difficult series to rate. On the one hand, Asuka is seven kinds of awesome. Seriously, this girls kicks ass. On the other hand....I have some trouble respecting someone who is so rude. She terrorizes her parents and is harsh to strangers. Why? Is rudeness equated with strength? Does it make you cooler to behave as though anyone weaker than you is dirt? Why?
Don't get me wrong. I really like this series. The art is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and the setting is a new one to me. But....Asuka.....please. You may be awesome, but you are not the most important person in the world. Even if you were, a little consideration would not come amiss.
