I just read this manga out of curiosity because lot of people said this manga is "must read" so, I'll give it a try. I read it randomly because I just want to see the romance between this two main character.

Starting from that, I try to reverse and start reading from the beginning. Quite nice. The character have unique identity.

The art nice - the way Shounen Genre should be of course

I love the romance. Love it. Not sappy and cheap kind of love. It's fragile and the way Rosette were going to death train breaking the heart actually. She seems devouring somebody - Chrno.

By the way, Chrno preety interesting character actually. Even though he looks all manly in his real form he looks childish and blushing all the times when Rosette tease him in chibi form. Aren't he cute?

The ending. Oh.. great. Have mercy on me please.

Gonna watch the anime! How about hear their voice in anime? <33

Want something : action drama tragedy, read this.

While reading this, you may get a sense that you've read something like this before. The ideas are not the most original and, while it is a pleasant read for the first few volumes, there's nothing here to make you think "This is one of the best mangas I've ever read".

The reason I put my rating higher than average is purely because of the development of the relationship between the characters. I wanted to cry at the end but sadly my tear ducts have dried up after having watched too many Korean dramas. The good stuff only happens very late in the series, which is why I decided to sell my Chrono Crusade collection on as it's probably not one I'd read again, as much as I found the ending satisfying. This is one I would say to read if you have time.

i personally like the setting. well,i like something classic especially the environment design in this manga. something that can leave a deep impression.

really when the 1st time i read this manga,
i thought it would end just like another fantasy shounen manga.
but when i reached the ending, i realized it's much more deeper than i thought!
i thought since it's a fantasy manga, something magical would prevent "it" to happen. but my prediction was wrong.
the ending really made me feel hurt and happy at the same time. sad yet beautiful. it left a very deep impression inside my heart. i wanted to cry but i couldn't.

Plotwise it was well diversified and had good develpment.... with a somewhat satifying ending...bittersweet it maybe....

Overall is a good (meaning above the average) manga. The artowrk is nice and well done. Since this is a shounen series, expecting a masterpiece of plot or supra original characters is unreasonable... and so the plot is just fine, becoming more interesting when knowing about the past of the characters; and overall the pace of the story is good enough to keep you interested. The characters are well depicted but beside Chrno and Rossette there is basically no other character well developed.

Finally what made me give this manga an 8 and not 7 is the ending. Simply it was touching (in a bittersweet way) and it is of the very few manga/anime where all this love-wise scenes between the (main) characters are well justified to give a very satifastory ending.

seriously how can people like this manga? everything about it screams mediocrity. Run of the mill fantasy story, EXTREMELY boring and predictable... oh no, joshua's bitch is the other chicks sister? wow really m night shamalan? i guessed that, maybe the second that they mentioned that she had a sister? i dont even know if i can finish this heap of garbage.... oh yeah, dont forget the random cat demon, which arrived so abruptly and unexplained in this series that she might as well of parachuted onto the page.

also, wtf is with all the genre's? 8 of them? drama romance? 6volumes in and neither of them to poke their head out. supernatural fantasy? pick one, not both.

seriously, this plot is like
oh no, i need my horns! lets go get them, ok!
oh no, i need my brother! lets go get him, ok!
oh no, i need my sister! lets go get her, ok!

i wonder if the author came up with this plot from some random mad lib.

a _______(cliche creature: demon) meets a _______ (cliche female lead:tsundre chick) they have ____(number: two) companions....
dont even get me started on how just damn atrocious the characters are. "Hey, my name is Logic, you wont find me here"

i dont even want to go on. ugh this is just bad. its about as original as "two fast too furious"

not to mention every female character has the most retarded case of Stockholm's Syndrome whenever they get capture by their enemies, who are literally just waiting to kill them. seriously, make sense more please.

One of the funniest, most touching, most beautiful, and over all best mangas I have ever read in my life.

It is literally a masterpiece. That is the simplest way of putting it. A masterpiece. You have to read this, trust me.

On a side note, this manga has inspired me to also ~never stop running.

the first manga ive read that is better than the lion king. original, instant classic, genius story, dont wanna say it but it made me cry, thought it was gonna be a light series *big shock* amazing one for the ages.

At first, I thought that Chrno Crusade was going to be some crappy manga because of its setting and themes. Then I decided to read it. As I read more and more of it, I thought that the religious themes and setting both worked together very well. At a first glance, you may think it's some corny religous themed manga but I can assure you it isn't. The art is also great and the characters develop amazingly. All together making an amazing manga.
