On the outskirts of Tokyo stands Hachimitsu Private Academy, an all-girls boarding school for elite young women. But as the new school year rolls around, one tradition is going out the window: For the first time in the school's long history, boys are being allowed to enroll. What a great series, one of the funniest series I've read in a while. A lot of the plot is a parody of the prison escape/survival genre.

The excessive cruelty of the guards is ridiculous.. but hey, people can become pretty crazy in real prisons (think Stanford prison experiment). Basically don't take any of this series seriously (even when drawn uber-seriously) and you should enjoy it.

I didn't find the first few chapters that funny but after a while, just couldn't stop reading. Haven't laughed this much in a while.

I had fun reading it just as the mangaka had fun drawing it. It might be tiring to read this chapter by chapter since there are so much fan service and the pace is slow.

Some chapters that was interesting...

-that chapter on nipple hair cracked me up and he was blowing wind on it, LOL.
-the answer to tits or ass was enlightening.

Keep in mind when reading this that these are boys who don't know how to handle themselves around girls. So they may not always handle the situation correctly which leads to the humor.

Surprisingly recommendable at first BUT

Akira´s over the top art is good and the "serious" humor works fine for the about 6 volumes but i now had enough after flipping through the next 4 volumes as i couldn´t see anything to stick around but the series was fairly decent while the joke lasted. The prison arc actually concludes after a while but the following scenario isn´t that hot (no pun intended) or original. All in all Prison School is nothing phenomenal but at least the it´s a clear comedy and not a porno. Not a lot of "hard ecchi" titles can say that but it´s a shame that the author had to kill Me and the Devil Blues which started to really get going.
Update: I flipped through the recent stuff due to the expose the series got after the Kodansha win (an in house award) and the anime but the third arc is just the first one again with clear focus on SM + Watersports so the series had been reduced to a harem porno only. The characters further became deeply unsympathetic and the narrative is weirdly cruel and exploitative so i can only recommend again to drop the series after the first arc and to read the comparable and equality award-winning Ping Pong Club (7,5/10) instead. Jigokuren - Love in the Hell (8/10) further presents a quality ecchi satire that ended too soon and i reviewed both. I wonder why sex focused American comics as Image´s Sex Criminals can both get serious awards and stay on my pull list for the whole run while the Japanese counterparts are regularly bottom of the barrel. At least Me and the Devil Blues came back but the author has a history of burning out as seen here so i will be cautious when i see his name pop up in the future as this isn´t his first derailed porno.

Gets old, but has verve

This somewhat silly story has a lot of flaws, but to me it always gives the impression, in its over-the-top way, that it was written to be read as fun, by a mangaka who was having a hell of a lot of fun writing it. I particularly enjoy the way the main "enforcer" girl constantly lords it over the guys while wearing an impossibly revealing kind of "school dominatrix" outfit. Thinking back, I'm pretty sure that I was in such a state at that age that if such a budding dominatrix had (impossibly) shown up in my school I would have been happy to submit to her discipline just to get close to her under-clothed body.

Another reviewer explained earlier the key fact that this manga is situated in that short time-period of life when early-teen boys are both so incredibly horny and so socially inept that they despair of ever having a girlfriend or sex, and so will do anything to curry favor with any girl who'll interact with them at all. This story seems to me like it's essentially an absurd and visually-exaggerated acting out of that state of near-hopeless sexual need.

As such, this is a good, almost emotionally-true-to-life, story for boy readers of the age-group depicted, and an occasion of rueful remembering for men readers. (Girls might like it just to laugh at guys while getting a clue of how pathetically needy they can be.) I do hope, though, that at some point at least one girl ends up dating at least one of those boys. No one could stand that state of helpless horniness if it went on for many volumes, including most readers.

Somewhat original, yet repetitive

At first when I started reading this series, I found it pretty entertaining. But you start to notice that many chapters have absolutely no plot development and the same things happen, just drawn at different angles. The angle that annoys me the most is the upskirts, especially when there's dialogue as if her sweaty snatch is talking.
The ecchi crap is the only thing that keeps this series going, not that it interests me in the least. Revealing, pointless angles of one girl's tits and twat takes up 1/4 to 1/3 of all the panels (exaggerated estimate, but not by much). This is purely a fan service manga with a some comedy (mostly toilet and sexual-ish humor) and plot (if you'd call it that). The story progresses so slowly because of all the fan service and it just becomes stale unless you really like seeing essentially the same image of a scantily clad, sweaty cartoon girl, who apparently has no nipples or they're on the underside of her tits, from slightly different angles. Personally, I'd enjoy to see a bit of drama that doesn't revolve around something ecchi.
I find most of the characters generic, but most manga is the same in that area. The principal is, IMO, the only original character. The setting is very original and is the ONLY reason I've kept up with the series, although I usually skim through many pages. I do like the principal, though.
What I don't understand, like somebody else said, is why the boys don't stand up for themselves when they're getting the shit knocked out of them. The only person who has a reason to stay there is the MC because of a love interest (another generic love interest where the MC acts like that's the only girl in the world he could be with), so I don't see why the other guys don't go berserk or leave. Yeah, the story could lose some of it's pizazz (for lack of better words), but it could also open up new events, such as new male students or one of the boys who leave could help them from the outside. I know this is a manga, but it doesn't mean it's impervious against flaws. Using "it's a manga" defense is something a child would say. That's equivalent to a television show about people who sit on a couch and fart the entire time and saying "it's just a TV show."
One last thing which befuddles me is why some people comment here just to disagree with another person or persons who dislike the manga. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so who cares?
@Dickegrobe- I think everyone (at least guys) have done something their not proud of, especially when it comes to masturbation and drunken sex 🤣 Though I doubt that's the reason many people dislike this manga. The common theme for these "naysayers" (not a hyphenated word BTW) is the excessive fan service. Yeah, I'm an asshole and a hypocrite, but I couldn't help but to point out the similar points.

tl;dr A LOT of fan service, insubstantial plot, original setting, story slowly progresses in most chapters, and primarily sophomore humor. If you like you manga with lot of nearly nude moments, then this one is for you.

Adolescence, ecchiness, below-the-belt humor, more ecchiness, more adolescence... and some echiness as topping. In a good way.

As for the nay-sayers - I guess, you've never been through the hardships of pubertal hornyness to the level where you... well, you'd do things that you wouldn't be proud of a little later. This manga grasps just a bit of exactly that, in a funny way. Then, there is the drawing style that looks rather serious - which makes it even funnier!

So far it is a great laugh, honestly, it's funny as fuck! No traumatised-children-background-bullshit, no questions, no drama (well, I have a bad feeling about that one... fingers crossed, it keeps a no-drama thing)

This series irks me so much. The boys put up with all the abuse for no reason at all - they are only into the school for a couple of days at most. And then the over the top S&M implication, its inserted into each and every chapter but cant entertain me the slightest. I know speaking of logic in manga is pointless, but its this is just too much :/

The art is quite nice though. And the plot, even though is absurb, also very original.

This series is pretty original. Two things really get to me, though. The first is the over-the-top ecchi. There's way too much fan service in each chapter and none of it brings anything to the table as far as plot and character development. It's just stupid and sad. The second is the fact that they're kids being held in a "prison" on school grounds. Has it ever occurred to them that they could literally do whatever they want as far as leaving? Who cares if they have to go to a different school? Or when they try to get info off a computer to help their case, they could just waltz right into the student counsel room and take it. It wouldn't be hard at all. Now, I'd never hit a woman, but if that was the kind of treatment I was getting, I'd simply beat the hell out of them. It's self-defense. Being slapped, kicked, or punched is one thing, but weapons is another thing. Why they (the underground student counsel) aren't in this prison is beyond me. Sure, it's a manga, I'm not stupid, but there's a line between fiction and ridiculous and it's been crossed many times in this series. I just don't know. I'm losing interest in this series fast.
For all these series where a guy puts up with all kinds of stupid crap for the sake of infatuation, there must be a LOT of desperate people who'd think "I'd do that" in order for some of these garbage series to sell. Most of these series I can hardly read, but since it's free, why not. I'd never pay for crap like this. This is basically a manga for kids to buy and jack off to. Whoever says otherwise is truly blind. All the awkward angles make me sick. This series has an interesting story, but I'm beginning to hate it because I just can't appreciate cartoon porn or anything like it.

Sick and weird shit right here . This manga is full of the moment make me want to say WTF, That **** real? A very hard core manga in my opinion , thing in here arent for every one to enjoy . At first the story look ridiculous ( Spoiler : i still feel the same way now ) , then the comedy kick in . The story start to feel more enjoyable and fun as more you process , just give it some time .

The problem with this series is the art. Its good, yes. But the art has a rather serious tone to it, and that gives a strange flare to the comedy. I find that the comedy is rather dry, either leading to a over-the-top or thats-not-funny-at-all delivery. And its really hard to tell where its trying to be funny and where its being serious. Things like being forced into extended confinement? Not funny. Regular and savage beatings? Not funny. Public lynching? Not funny. But it seems that its trying to be funny with all of these things. That is to say, there are some parts that are quite amusing (You will just have to find them yourself). Ultimately its not a bad series, especially if you are just looking for some tits, but its not the best thing I have ever read.
