Joking aside, the "classic" yaoi staples - drunk sex, blackmail, "turning a straight guy gay" - are NOT used to toy lines of consent but... to show that the male leads are being young and reckless in their awkwardness.

All the traditionally dubcon tropes are employed to mundane effect - neither lead is causing genuine harm, not even unintentionally. Communication is involved, both in awkward (e.g. morning after) and casual (condom use) forms.

The setting and characters are modern in their expectations and reactions to homosexuality: no one is outright homophobic, background characters ranging from indifferent to startled, and no one is throwing parades, either. It's refreshing and feels genuine, silliness included.

There is at least one egregiously implausible anatomical "sexy" pose but the art style is otherwise proportional, tidy, and well-done.
