they were SO sweet like sososososososososo sweet. i really liked how they spent time together and i understood how and why prince reok fell for sangyul and vice versa. like it was sweet and made sense.

i loved their smut i love that prince reok adjusted every time something didnt feel right for sangyul #bottomenjoymentlist i rly enjoyed it!!! the story wasnt the most amazing thing ive ever read but the couple made me happy while reading it <3

Suspend Your Disbelief and Love the Main Characters

The story stands out for treating both romance and politics equally. There is a lot going on with the world's politics, the mix of a giant, powerful company, modern royalty in Korea, and omegas and alphas being ostracized as "mutants." It's complicated, and it's part of the story's plot. Royalty needs to rein in the powerful company and one of the main characters is a prince who is treated unfairly, even looked down upon by some people, solely due to his special trait as alpha. For the couple to come together, these are the obstacles they need to overcome. (Sortof. It's complicated.)

Although the romance is deeply tied to each of those threads, the romance journey felt pretty short. By which, I mean

It was consistent. From near the start of the series, all the way to the end, the two main characters seem to love each other. If there's a tag, Prince Reok takes the tag "protector" and Songyul takes the tags "weak" and "victim," and "keeps everything to himself." The romance doesn't go through the typical ebbs and inner conflicts that most romance stories go through. I think part of it is because Songyul keeps thinking little of himself and he doesn't change much for most of the series. There are 49 episodes and in my perspective, only undergoes major character development in episode 47.

If you could love the main characters, and suspend your disbelief around the story world's security and government administration, then you may enjoy this comic. Honestly, I think if I read this comic in novel form, I would've given a higher rating. 5 out of 10. I can appreciate the artwork and the effort the creators put into the world building. Oh by the way, I only read the R15 version.

One of the Greenest Flag Tops Ever

You are no Romeo, says the Prince's primary attendant to Prince Reok. Well... I'd say Juliet can keep her Romeo. I'll gladly take Prince Reok, such a green flag!

I also appreciate that, despite all the trauma and ongoing threats he's experienced, Sangyul maintains a core dignity, even if he cannot readily grasp that he has innate worth. He should have been so broken that he cannot think for himself, but he does or tries to exercise agency.

Given the propensity in BL for dubcon, I really appreciate the consensual relationship between our Prince and Sangyul.

Also, this is a slightly different take on the Omegaverse in that both Alphas and Omegas are treated as freakish, shameful mutants. There is nothing superior or advantageous about presenting as these subgenders.

The only reservations I had, at first, was that the beginning felt rushed. But it settled into a good groove where I could really get behind our OTP.

If you are into a lot of meaningless drama....this isn't for you. If you like a straight love story that doesn't dwell on drama and is cute and sweet, this is for you. I loved it, as I don't need unnecessary drama.

I'm not against cliche but this is just too much and incredibly boring, it's just so hard read this webtoon 😭
The most annoying part is how that dude is ALWAYS blushing red , can't they just draw him like a normal human being 😭

This is not the usual omegaverse BL. The story has an interesting twist where the "omega" was actually raised as an experiment in a lab to garner the attention of the royal family's son who is an alpha. Also, rather than everyone in society having these traits, in this webtoon they are genetic traits that very few possess. Which explains why Jodong pharmaceuticals has to resort to such horrible methods to satisfy their greed. I'm interested to see how everything turns out. Sometimes it feels like there's too much dialogue, but whatever.. Also, I hope Sangyul becomes more outspoken from here on considering how many chapters it's been.
