Description

One day while walking home from her job, Kurumi Akino finds a wounded young man, and saves his life. He mysteriously disappears after that, and leaves only the name “Hakuron”. Next thing she knows she’s been kidnapped from her school, and is on a private jet with that man, heading to China. It turns out she saved the life of the most infamous mobster in Hong Kong, and he wants her to stay with him.

It is not about immaturity...This to me, was a horrid thing. I got to vol 4 and gave up consequently afterwards. It's not that I or perhaps anyone who agrees with me don't understand that he loves her, but there is no excuse for what he's done to her. And that thing about her still loving him...love doesn't end so quickly, and it's much harder when someone is in an abusive relationship.
It might reflect what happens in some aspects, in real life to many people...but that doesn't take it away from being horrible. I don't think it's anywhere near the best manga I've read.
I've read others that discuss issues such as rape, or the romanticizing of the mafia, but by far...this has been the worst. The plot, I didn't even find any logic in it. I understand the lack of it after vol. 3. Abused people tend to lack logic, because they are being psychologically manipulated in many ways, in order to think that what's happening it's what was meant to happen. But the beginning, has no logic. The main female character has no brains whatsoever, and that just makes it worst!

i personaly loved this manga, it was great and the reason y he did that stuff to her..-^^- was cas he thought that was the only way he could keep her with him,, since he thought she diddent lv him anymore :sigh: during vol 4 i was friggin shoutin at the screen for him to just talk to the girl and tell her about his lv: but noooo mister mafia couldent do that!! >< oh well sad end thoe great manga!!

Can you people not know that it is really real love between Kurumi and Hakuron? Just because he rapes her and all doesn't mean he don't love her, even if he does those horrible things. You all may think that it is twisted, it kind of is, but you don't understand the basic true meaning of this story...She loves him still after all he had done, he loves her and does all those things, but only to protect her and he gets jealous. He wants her for himself and he really does love her. She also loves him because she can never forget him. Though at the end...it's so...so heartbreaking...they should have been married and lived happily ever after....it's a horrible ending...I hate tragedy, but I love the romance. So what if it's smut, people need to be more mature about it...sooner or later in your life time you are eventually going to do it or see it, it's the cycle of life....sigh...I just want to get that out. Love is Love, don't question it!

For all of you who have called this horrible I can't see how. This is probably one of the most beautiful manga I've ever read. The plot is so amazing I can't even begin to describe how it makes me feel. Even knowing the ending, I know that it just makes sense. It may not be a good ending, but it just makes sense.
It's so lifelike. He didn't capture her and then she fell in love, she fell in love then he captured her. And even when he raped her there was so much plot behind it that it just makes your head reel.
If you are mature I strongly suggest reading this manga because out of the hundereds I've read. This has to be the best of the best.
It's so sad that VIZ has liscenced it but refuses to put it out.

Aside from Kaikan Phrase i think with this one sense really did her best work. I know some people were or will be a bit bummed because of the ending but i liked it....perhaps because looking it from a realism point of view there was no other way. The art and the smut is just fantastic as always true to her works.

I understand why people dont like the sex parts but please read the caution sign you little immature people. Thats how life is love, sex, money, power. I enjoyed reading this series and I even have vol 8-9 hence I can solely tell you you dont know what you are missing if you didn't read 8-9. Also if no one noticed I would say 90% of SHINJO Mayu's mangas consist of one face and that is the male leading character in this manga and who is also present in every other manga. It doesnt seem to suprise me the male leading chracter in all her mangas have the same/similar face and even the hair haha.

Anyways I recommend you to read this story if you don't enjoy smut(I don't consider any raping involved because if you read it, it doesnt even seem like rape, its more volunteery then everyone thinks) But the ending is super sad and if you like SHINJO Mayu's work then I would say this one is really thought out and sincere. ^^ v

PS: For those who know and understand SHINJO Mayu's work most of her mangas and oneshots consist of the same kind of content .. just because this one shows a more dangerous sinde doesnt mean its bad. And just because a lot of people enjoy it doesnt mean they are twisted its just common sense that we like and enjoy reading stuff like this and can filter the sex parts and not be childish about it.

Umm.... It's disturbing. Quite disturbing. But, hey. I was like, whatever. I'll read through it. I stopped at volume 7(?) because I didn't feel like reading the rest at that time. Then, I told myself I'd just wait for the rest to be scanlated, but... the "rest" never was. I mean, somebody might as well finish it. There isn't much left. But I do understand if nobody wants to scanlate it because they can't handle the extreme sex and rape stuff. Lol. Very understandable. I'm not really into the explicit sex scenes but I actually want to see what happens to the really stupid couple in the end. They're a really stupid couple. Or maybe she's just a really stupid girl... whatever. Oh, and all the "love" in this manga is through sex/rape. Mostly rape though. This is a manga pretty much about, yes, what the summary at the top says and sex. There's sex in every chapter in volume four.
Spoiler: In the first(?) chapter of volume four, it is stated that he "had" her many times for three nights in a row. Also that after her first time, there was blood all over her feet. Like, seriously gushing out... disturbing.
I'm waiting for it to be finished before I move from volume (i think) 7. It'll be a pity if it stops now... ^-^;
I guess I'm really tolerant...
But it is really extreme. Don't try it if you can't handle it. Really. DON'T.
A nice warning for all of you thinking about reading it.
One last thing... Shinju Mayu's manga isn't usually this explicit. Kaikan Phrase has a different feel to it, i guess. So does Ai Ore. I like them more. A lot more.

I... can't begin to explain how I'm feeling

After the whole rape incident in Volume 4, I... don't have any words. I was so disgusted. I actually started crying. It's so wrong. REALLY wrong.

I can't stop shaking after seeing that. After seeing the blood on her legs after the first rape, I literally started pulling my hair and screaming. I can tolerate EXTREME amount of sex, and violence, but that one scene DISTURBED me REALLY bad. Yes, I've seen lots of mangas / movies / hentai where the girl gets gang raped by 5768476048 guys and I can manage to watch through the entire clip without getting disgusted [maybe a "that's so wrong" comment, but I don't get all "OMGWTFDIE"]. I actually watched lots of disturbing videos [you know what I mean >_>] on the interwebz before, but never really flinched at any of them.

But for some reason I can't explain, that... REALLY disturbed me.

Not all Shinjo manga is this graphic. I actually like Kaikan Phrase.

Just... stay away from this one if you don't enjoy this stuff. -_-

LOL @ THE ENDING. I literally cracked up.

I'm upping my mark from a 1 to 3 for the ending. xD +1 for Hakuron dying, +1 for it being on the WEDDING, and another +1 for the random character appearance -THE WAY HE DIED - AHAHAHA, EPIC XD. However, I'm deducting one mark for the girl staying alive. Damn.

P.S.S I was looking through the comments, and I'm completely flabergasted. How are people that, like myself, find this manga disturbing "immature"? Oh, right, because thinking rape + love is like 1+1=3. IT DOESN'T GO TOGETHER. Never does irl, never will.

No one who gets kidnapped & raped lives "happily ever after" with their captor/rapist. And for those that say that Kurumi was willing to the rape... Yea, sure, of course I'd wanna have sex with someone that killed my friend~ In fact, that really turns me on. So cut the BS and get on with reality - WHICH THIS MANGA TOTALLY LACKS.

Kurumi is a retard whom should get shot. You RETURN to your rapist willingly, only to have him rape you some more. Then bitch about not being able to get away. Uh, okay. I just can't add 2 and 2 here.

This story isn't "the best of the best" nor is it "romantic". It's the worst of the worst, unappealing to women, and no way in hell is it romantic. There is no excuse to rape - and Hakuron's excuse to rape her was the stupidest reasoning I've ever read in any manga.

Hakuron was right to die (I mean, that kid did do it because... Get serious, if you saw someone raped in front of your eyes, and then a few months later, the rapee happily walking the streets with her rapist... Uh, WTF?

Overall, this series is fucked anyhow. And anyone who thinks we are immature for disliking it need to get an effing brain and use logic.

well ive been a big shinjo mayo fan 4 a long time...in fact this was th 1st manga of hers i ever read...& yes it shocked th hell out of me!!! frozen
i dont like kurumi that much & sometimes i do find her annoing...but ppl give her some slack!!! she went trough hell...
HAKURON-SAMA (i just love good-looking-yakuza-characters) in the end....truly shocking....never saw it coming!!!! i lost a part of my soul in tht last vol....turned to an empty shell
well thats not all i had to say...but im feeling lazy,so ill end it here...

The story looked interesting, but as I read on it was nothing but twisted and disturbing. Kurumi is ANYTHING but heroic. How can a girl love someone who not only takes her away from her family, but constantly violates her? HOW CAN THIS BE LOVE? It's beyond me how anyone can call this romance. She absolutely has no self-respect! Also Hakuron, I don't find him 'handsome' at all! A man who loves a woman does not rape her and treats her like some slave..

I haven't read the ending yet, but I'm not planning to because it's way too twisted. If you're looking for a good romance/story, this is definitely not recommended.
