It is bad. On nearly every point : the fights are chaotics, you never truly understand what happens, no single charcater is likeable, and that's logical since there is no character developpment, everything takes place in somethind like 6 days, it is rushed, first everyone wants one magic stone and then every one wants the other, and I think that's it.

Now good points : hmmm, can't really find one but at least I didn't get bored at all, I read it fast. Also I quite like depore, a bit possessive and sympathetic.

Anyway I don't recommend it, unless you are really in the demon fights thing. There are better shounens out there.

I grabbed the first volume of this when I was bored, and actually found it it to be pretty good. While the fight scenes can be a little confusingly drawn at first, the art is great on the whole. I don't think my choice of adjectives so far has properly conveyed how much I like this series. I really like this series. It's one of the first in a while that I'm really anticipating more of.

My only major criticism of Immortal Regis, it that it's extremely cliché, though this doesn't ruin it. In fact, it does certain things a lot better than many other manga out there. Contrary to some of the other comments, I don't feel that the characters are overly unrealistic personality wise, nor do I think the whole ressurection business was rushed. The author did this for dramatic effect, illustrating how fast it happened, ironic humour.

Great art work, the storyline isn't that bad but the atmosphere is very different compare to other mangas. Necromancers as protagonists isn't something you see in your everyday manga plots; neither are zombies. The only flaw to it is that the repetitive 'normal boy sacrifices normal life to be special' plot makes the manga a little corny. But it's more than just worth reading if you ask me, hell I want to read it more than most popular mangas instead.

Gah i'm a sucker for the heroin to be so kind that he has to sacrifice his own happiness.... BUT DAM I LOVE THOSE CHARACTER!!
art wasn't that modern or great but heck it still ok plot so far... hmmm 7.8/10 for so far but overall 10/10 expecting good plot dam LOVE YOUR LITTLE BRO !!

its basically like princess resurrection with a more serious tone and more romancd i guess but i dont like the way they put the main character in such a bad situation o well... it ok it better than all the lesbian/gay/lover/romace/slice of life crapp that been coming out plus theres a little something dif in this manga so ill see how it turns out

This Sucks, Read the Sequel Instead

Immortal Regis suffers from bad pacing, poor development, deus ex machina, and tons of other story problems. However, its sequel, Cavalier of the Abyss, has a much improved story (no doubt due to the writing assistant the author hired for developing the sequel). The sequel is good enough that it can stand alone as well, so don't waste your time with IR and go read CotA instead 😛

Fresh..yet Not So Fresh...

I like this series. The art was something I've never really seen before which gave it some uniqueness. The story began relatively absurd... but it flowed well... for awhile anyways. Near the end of the series, it was rather confusing to keep up with what is going on because multiple events are taking place for multiple characters. At one part of the series, it felt like the author rushed the plot a bit (ie: the romance). For the sake of not spoiling the plot for anyone I'll just leave it at that. Nevertheless, a good read. I recommend it.

i hate stupid manwha authors

so... this manwha(which i will henceforth refer to as manga because typing manwha pisses me off) is REALLY good... for the first couple volumes. then it just regresses into annoying cliche shounen. Even though i like cliche shounen, this is just fucking terrible. Currently there are like 5 fights going on simultaneously, and each one is progressing at a snails pace each chapter; not only that but the art is garbage, you have to try to decipher what is going on.

ugh... if it randomly ended after the first couple volumes, this would probably be one of my favorite series... but it turned into pure shit..

read the first couple volumes cuz they are good, but it just is bothersome from there on out

Can't get enough!

This manwha is absolutely sick! The drawings get a bit messy sometimes, but the action scenes (especially later on) are breathtaking. The story is very interesting of course, and it gets absolutely insane later on (just take a peek at the raws if you don't believe me), I just wish it was all scanslated already =(.
