To begin with - The artist did a great job. The artwork is near to reality and underlines the storyline absolutely well. I saw a smiliar style before, but everytime this comes up, it makes me want to fawn over the pages a minute longer, just looking at the panels. It's amazing.
The name giving chapter Shiki no Zenjitsu was really bittersweet and overflowing with emotions. Things, that will stay unsaid and live on inside the characters, but are also expressed through hints. The atmosphere is captivating and calm at the same time, so this story already got me hooked right away.
Azusa 2 gou de sakai brings some mystery elements into this collection. It again a quiet story, which doesn't need anything and just flows naturally in a calm pace. The ending was surprising, sad and yet leaves me with a nice feeling.
After a long time Monochrome Siblings came up with middle aged protagonists and an unusual twin setting. Just for that I already was positive suprised, but the ending was the last bit it needed to convince me. Maybe this sad story will be my favourite out of this collection, because it includes all kinds of feelings. From love, unrequited and mutual, to jealousy and fear and anger and closeness among siblings, and secret or open longing. It's a full course and that told in a touching way.
Two chapters belong to ** Yume miru kakashi**. It may be my personal preference, but the western settind distracted me a bit. Sighs. Even if the story was nicely done, it wasn't really something to catch my attention langer than necessary. Mianhae~
Juugatsu no Hakoniwa was different again and something, that is worth remembering. It has this old school horror feel to it, the atmosphere is dark & heavy, although the conclusion just puts everything in order again. It was an interesting turn around, when everything was cleared up and set in order.
Lastly Sorekara was a cute ending. All in all a suitable last read for this collection.
