Granted its over and i never had to wait for aa chapger. But i feel had i waited for chapters i would be angry at the pacing

Water is essential for survival

It's about 3 girls attending their school and living there as part of their school living club, the central character is the pink haired girl called Yuuri. We see that from the first chapter, she really likes the school and her 2 club members and especially her teacher, she tries hard at school not missing any lessons and participating school events.... or so she thinks. Don't get fooled by the cover, there's a reason why the horror tag is there because this is a manga about zombie apocalypse and survival. All the school events and lessons don't exist, it's part of her coping mechanism. She hallucinates the people are still alive and that the school is fine as a way to escape from reality, to put it harshly she's delusional. Her 2 club members play along and go with her antics of hallucinations fully aware of what's happening outside the school because if the reality comes back to her, she can't handle it. The three of them manage to get by in the school, luckily the solar panels are working so they have water and electricity running... but that all changes until they meet a girl.

It's kind of slow paced because they stayed in that school for a while and it's showing a lot of their daily lives on how they survive while maintaining their cheerful and positive attitude. Honestly the horror isn't that scary because of the artstyle it's drawn and how they keep reassuring each other that it's gonna be alright. How their friendship and relationship help them survive and calm their mind is the central point of this manga, to the point it's giving yuri vibes but i guess that's how friendship between girls are? The art is cute so i guess that's why it doesn't give off the same scary vibes as other zombie manga where it's a lot more realistic and gruesome. Some of the characters they met are pretty dumb and unpleasant, i think they're not very well written but expect a lot of girls action since there's barely any males until later and the cure solution.... what? It'd also be a bit better if the author show us the girls' family relatives or members' well being because only one of them was mentioned in the story but other than that it wasn't addressed at all.

TL;DR
If you want a really gruesome and realistic zombie apocalypse then this is not what you're looking for because it's not that scary due to how it's drawn and depicted. No betrayal (ig there's one but it's so irrelevant) and not much drama, it's about how friendship prevails and girls stick with each other together and the 'slice of life' is pretty alright. If you're bored and want to read a girls only zombie apocalypse and how they survive then i recommend it.

Great atmosphere, story, and cute art

The story was amazingly written. It used a fair bit of foreshadowing to give you hints of what is to come, and the author managed to create great atmospheres throughout the manga. The characters were lovable and to a small degree develop through their journey.

The art was very cute, even if the story itself is a horror survival genre. Overall, nearly everything about the manga was very enjoyable. I personally liked how the story ended, but it did end in a way that felt very slightly rushed and everything seemed to be concluded immediately, it felt like there could have been many more arcs.

Rushed Ending

It was good! Not only the art, but the story also divine. But the ending... oh man... The rushed ending is ruined everything.

It's a post-apocalyptic world zombies everywhere. So where those kids coming from?? Maybe, only few survived but suddenly everyone has a job? Kids? Well, maybe the "good Randall" help them survivors, but in only 3 years?? They produce lots of kids? So Yuki can teach them in their old school? Ha?? What happened with bad Randall? What's up with the infection that Randall made? Why they need to do such thing? This is too rushed and we need to know more about Randall than those girls. And in the end whose Yurii's boss? So many unanswered questions in the last chapter, it feels unsatisfied. After so many journey we've been through together with those 4 girls, then suddenly they are... growing up and doing normal things once again. Good, for them though. It's their wishes, but come on! The questions remain unanswered.

I don't really like the current arc of Gakkou Gurashi!, but prior? A sad, unique, brilliant masterpiece.

There's a lot I could say about this manga -- and I did, in a long review for it below. I don't want to talk too much about it, but I think the first part of the series is phenomenal, while the second part (the current arc) ranges from "not really good" to "very bad", and it is usually very bad. Used to really love this one...

I don't think we are. I've read up to 24 and I'm done with this boring crap. There are a lot of issues here to cover and I'll avoid actual spoilers.
You're telling me a string bean from the track club has the weight behind her to smash zombie heads in with one hit with something that looks like a fold-up shovel (more like a glorified spade, the one-handed garden variety)? NO! Zombies are attracted to the light from a glow stick (they watched it fly through the air in one panel)? BS! Zombies cover their ears when a sort of portable alarm is sounded? What?! Nobody has tried going inside the school for supplies? Doubtful! Only girls seem to have survived and there are no males (not a spoiler, categories and genres give that away)? Beyond improbable!
There are many more, but I'd be giving away too much. This manga is incredibly child-friendly, while incredibly boring at the same time. Nothing ever happens. The only part that could have been interesting after seeing this was the psychological aspect, but there's only a page or two worth every 5 chapters aside from the first 3-4 chapters (an exaggeration, but just barely) and it NEVER furthers character development. This is like survival for people who have all the time in the world. In fact, I'm having a harder time surviving it's lack of plot.
I tried to get into it. I really did. Normally I don't mind a manga like this, but NOTHING HAPPENS! It may as well be episodic. Here's a better summary:
Oh no, the world has ended at the hands of some slow-walking zombies! A few girls pretend zombie apocalypse never happens. To their surprise, it works! Aside from the occasional zombie who's weakness is basically a girl swinging a flyswatter, their carefree days of living inside an abandoned squatter's den starts! Time to play "academics no longer matter since much is taught on the basis that electricity will still be running, but we'll play school anyways!"

Nope. Nope. Nope. This is not a cute girls doing cute things manga. This is the best thing ever since I am a Hero, and I mean it is better than High School of the Dead.

I really enjoy this, from the characters to the drama to the tragedy. One of the manga I am most engrossed in.

The gap between the moe designs and the realistic struggles that the characters have to endure, both psychologically and physically paint a vivid image of their conflicts. The author has brilliantly depicted believable, multi-faceted characters interacting with challenge after challenge in this beautiful piece of work. Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys the psychological genre.

An Amazing Combination of Moe and....

My advice is to do as I did and read this manga without reading a thing about it first!

The drawing was so unusually fine that it sucked me right into the story--above all because the girl heroes achieved a level of moe that was unmatched in my experience. Then the slow reveal of the situation that these fragile cuties were in became increasingly unsettling, until the story's development managed to produce in me a reaction of chronic dread. In short, the combination of such lovable characters and such a level of menace made this manga a peak story experience for me. I give it a 10, and I recommend it to everyone.

Took me by surprise

If you're familiar with the anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, it has that same kind of set-up. It looks so cutesy and moe and you'd think there'd be lots of fanservice/ecchi moments (thank heavens there's no ecchi), but it's actually more serious and even deeper than that. It's like a Puella X The Walking Dead crossover. I jumped at it without knowing ANYTHING about it except that it's a horror seinen manga. I was really confused at first because most of the first chapter is like normal, except you can just feel there's something strange with the way the protagonist likes her school. And then... whoa. Just... whoa.

If you like zombies and drama (that's not annoying) and a lot of WHAM moments, this is a really good read. Hope it gets adapted into an anime series. Really sad that there's not much info posted about this series. Not even a wikipedia page.
