Description

Tbh many choices of the characters irritated me so much, but at the same time there were many moments when the emotions they were feeling got straight into my heart.
But! Looking at the other comments I see many feel like Jaeha was dragging it for too long. In my opinion it wasn´t like that, after all there were many emotions that got to him in a really short time, at the same time having his own relationships exprience and trying to understand what was he feeling. Can´t even comprehend Eunho´s patience tho

Seeing the earlier reviews, and reading it until the end... i think i understand them haha. Some of the chapters will make you super angry & desperate but i promise it gets better in the end. Also im loving the colored chapters in the epilogue chapters. 💗💗

I read it a long time ago and gave it 8.5 and now as an adultier person with a healthier mindset and less toxicity (I hope) in my heart I realized just how healthy their relationship became. It has been so long since I read it that I had forgotten almost all of it and reading it with fresh eyes really changed my perspective. This is a great story. I hate the pain and angst. I hate the misunderstandings and lack of communication. But they're markers of the human experience. Just like me, the first or second time I read it were from completely different perspective than what I have now, and reading it again felt like growth and allowed me to measure some of my own growth. Would recommend

Realistic Yet Dragged On

Usually, when I read Bl stories it’s the ukes that I love but on this one, the seme (Eunho) got my attention and love. I just feel he deserve so much more than the uke (Jaeha). But I kinda get him to still love his hyung regardless how hurtful he has been, because I myself have experienced that kind of love. Good thing for Eunho is that he was firm with his decision.

I kinda feel like the hurt has been drag on for so long and the fluff was on the side stories. Jaeha seems like taken Eunho’s love for granted that I wish at one point, I wished that Eunho tried to go out with other people and let Jaeha realized his feelings for him but it didn’t happen.

What I love about this story is how realistic Jaeha is. His thoughts, actions, and the stressful push-and-pull relationship he had with Eunho. Because even though people thinks this is trash, it’s realistic. Let’s be real that most people especially overthinking people do this.

I had to force myself to finish this one.
For one thing, any and all drama in this series was caused by the character themselves. There's no outward forces causing struggle. Nothing like "them against the world" or anything. It's literally entirely their fault the whole time.

And I use "their" very loosely since it's pretty much entirely the uke being a dick. Everything he does "is because of his trauma" but his trauma was hardly anything in the first place. It's not like I'm saying he should have just gotten over it or anything, but the actions he took because of it made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
And most of the series has his repeating the lines he's doing it so as to not hurt eunho buuuut he's deliberately doing actions to hurt eunho.
And then the series tried to force a "there's equal responsibility" plot at the end as if eunho did anything wrong? He didn't. His actions towards the end were totally justified after all the crap he had been through but the series tried to make it sound like he was equally as terrible as jaeh. He wasn't.
Not only that but character personalities/thoughts shift waaaaay too much from one extreme to the other in the blink of an eye. It is clearly trying to justify their actions with an explanation but they don't match.

In the end this series was about twice as long as it needed to be and with all the problems and blame landing squarely on the main it is an annoying read through and through.

The drawing is very good, the story is ok (a little bit too yaoish, they are mostly talking about hurting each other and being hurt, and then they have sex).

I really liked the first season, but adding on that extra drama for a whole second season was a bit too much for me. For such a simple issue, it could've been resolved in half the amount of chapters.. Otherwise, Eunho's pure and undying love was very heartwarming, and the main reason why I found this webtoon enjoyable. The art was just okay. The colored chapters at the end were way nicer than the black and white chapters of the main story.. I know it would've taken more time to do every chapter in color, but the black and white really made the story seem like it was dragging on way more than it already was.

The setup seems typical but there's something special about Lover Boy. Amazing things were accomplished with a small cast in terms of relationship insecurity, hurt, and learning to forgive each other and trust in love again. It'll be my favorite yaoi for a long time.
