Another terrible misunderstanding series

The protagonist does no effort if getting his power back or his money, or doing anything at all, just give a false sense of urgency that dissipates when he completes his current objective. I mean it's exactly the same as half the Korean fantasy magas out there with the MC having a massive plot armor and the author doing everything they can to milk the plot.

I mean why does he even go into dungeons if he's against risks? the answer is obvious it's to deliver a similar story to other mainstream ones and give it a small twist. But it ends up being inconsistent, and using humor to defuse ever situation making the pacing terrible.

He has plenty of changes and abilities to get money and get stronger but I'm already at ch and the misunderstandings are the only thing tat happen. It might be funny if he didn't realize, but there have already been situations where he could upgrade himself ar do something that doesn't put the MC at risk and they're ignored

Great comedy

In the overused reincarnated overpowered hero/antihero series, here is a manhwa which delivers an absolutely hilarious take.

The quick synopsis: Our hero is the most overpowered magician in an alien civilization but transmigrates his soul to a body on earth, retaining all his knowledge... but none of his power. Due to his poor knowledge of human society and a somewhat aloof demeanor, he is usually misunderstood, leading to comedic situations.

This series delivers the laughs in a very tired genre. The progression is not what we've come to expect of the genre and the comedy is absolutely great. However, given the genre of the series, it is only a matter of time before our hero will begin his power-up-to-absurdity trip. Till then though, may the comedy be enjoyed.

Alien comes to earth in search of a less stressful life and went into a human body. Alien smart, so smart in fact that he doesn't understand the basics of society, and so knowledgeable for everyone around Alien to consider alien a super intelligent and strong guy. In truth, Alien is super weak, but having the knowledge about some supernatural stuff makes you think that alien would get strong with Alien calling humans "monkeys" and all, but no. Alien don't do that. Alien wants comfortable life with no knowledge of what a comfortable life is. Someone with the knowledge of an intelligent species becoming a normie in 'our' world doesn't sound so bad does it? The misunderstanding and ooh, comedy!!! Yeah, never forget comedy, except almost all the comedy is just misunderstanding. It's fucking frustrating, all the mc is doing is just surviving paycheck to paycheck, with all that knowledge still in him, like can you stop be gullible as fuck and start to observe, start to learn stuff in this new world that you're gonna be living for the remaining of your life and just get your shit together??? Sure, you're learning things, but the things you learn is through unnecessary pain and torment, instead of just look around you and fucking ASK. You instead make more subjectively wrong decision that ends you in even more trouble.

To summarize, this manhwa is slow, so sickening slow without any entertaining filler. (For me at least)

And to add, this is a fantasy manhwa, so don't expect the MC to be realistic and make realistic decisions and all that cuz you know he's an alien? Give it a read, maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. But prsonally I don't really like it. This review/rant is made at ch.35 of the manhwa.

This is not an action-driven story with OP MC

Don't bother reading if you want tons of action. MC is not OP

not until after a loooong time has passed

This is not a fast paced, hot blooded story!

This story is about an alien in a human body fumbling around hoping to live a comfortable life in a hunters and dungeons setting. He's smart and knowledgeable, except for when it comes to humans and society. Hence the fumbling, hence the ample opportunity for comedic misunderstandings.

"why doesn't he just do blah blah blah?"

because he has an alien's understanding of Earth, it's not easy to just do blah blah blah, and his immediate needs are more important

I love the MC. He shares some characteristics with Invader Zim--without the mania.

The other characters are interesting so far. Even the characters that would be 2d ego-driven hotheads are a bit more complex and leave me wanting to know more about them.

I've only read ~20 chapters, so this is just an initial reaction.
