It's one of those heart-tugging mangas that have comedy and drama so balanced out, it's awesome. Don't get me started on the tension...OMG, the tension between them. I love it when the Seme holds back and I love that the uke has the power. So incredibly cute and unique, it has me squeeing every turn of a page. The wait for an update is painful and agonizing and I wish I started this when this was over because dammit!! The wait is just torture!
Sure, others think it's average or 'the usual' (which I don't see at all other than the familiar tropes) because the seme's a jerk (most of the time) but this theme has always dominated BL, and heck, even the romance genre in itself. It works when the author knows what she/he is doing and in this case Honma-sensei totally knows what she's doing and where she wants the story to go.
I love the fact that they were both straight because I'm more of a "He's not gay, just gay for insert uke's/seme's name" kind of BL fangirl and this theme plays so well in this manga unlike others where it's jump right to hot smexy man sex or heavy misunderstanding caused drama. Usagi-chan doesn't get raped which is a plus because the usual 'omigosh-he's-raping-my-virgin-ass-and-he's-not-so-bad-i-love-him!' thing that usually accompanies this type of yaoi isn't present.
I love it that the uke wants the seme to do him and didn't realize his feelings near the end of a rape scene which doesn't happen here.
Spoiler
The fact that the seme sleeps around is normal for a man like him with an occupation/reputation like his so I don't get why mangafan321 decided to point this out when knowing that the seme was upset at the time and wanted to get away from the uke because of the danger he posed and the misunderstanding that the uke wanted sex to get rid of the seme. It's in the same chapter he/she mentions.
Anyways, it's my first time reading this mangaka's work but now I'm sure it won't be the last.
