Description

Rayet, codenamed Scuro, works as an assasin for the infamous group Scarlet. His sole job is to assassinate other assassins as part of the "clean up team".

Sick of taking lives, Rayet attempts to leave Scarlet. With the help of a fortune teller named Junki and his assistant Ritsuna, Rayet may succeed. However, Scarlet's rules do not contain a way to let him leave alive.

It had potential. Many people have asked me for recommendations based on 'Hunted Protagonist' and it's just too bad that this was just....too short and not very well developed... However, for a short manga, this is highly satisfying. I would recommend it any day IF you're not looking for something to fully indulge yourself in.

In a nutshell,
a) Short story with good plot
b) Interesting artwork
c) Worth a 15-minute read

So, why not give this a shot?

This story is interesting, and though as a three chapter story it was well told and wrapped up, it could have been very good as a longer series where some elements (especially relationships) were fleshed out more. But that aside (I can't very well change that) I enjoyed the story, and would recommend it. (Really though, it takes hardly any time to read!)

Plot- Simplistic, definitely not complicated, but still quite interesting. An assassin trying to break away from the organization he is part of. Interesting enough, and told in a unique way. The story was good enough to hold my attention, and in the three chapters it managed to tell the story nicely, evenly paced and with a well wrapped up ending.

Characters- While I liked the character's and enjoyed them I could not help but wish they could have been developed more with a longer story. The main was just to cute not to like, the two other mains were interesting, and the three together made a very interesting group. Probably the aspect I enjoyed most about this story was the characters.

Art- Haunting, gothic and went wonderfully with the story. Very beautiful really.

Other- Just read, it hardly takes anytime at all and is quite a well done short story.

6/10- Liked it

I positively adore the artwork. It has a Tim Burton feel to it, just lovely (which is an incredible bias and largely why I'm giving this a 9, but it's just so difficult to find wonderful, twisted artwork). The story itself was entertaining, a bit short for too much of a plot but it wasn't rushed and the story was well told.

It's unfortunate it wasn't longer and more drawn out, there's quite a bit of potential.
