Description
From Aerandria Scans:
It starts with poisonous herbs under the cradle. Then under the sheets. And inside the clothes. Even mixed in the milk that they feed the newborn. This way the child gradually gets used to poisons and becomes the perfect assassination tool - the "Poison Princess" whose every kiss, tear, and even touch bring death. Her only chance of survival is to fulfill her duty as an assassin and find a way to live on in the enemy land she is sent to... if her heart is strong enough.

The series is a gothic romance about a red head chick who is meant to kill the king of a neighboring country. That country (G) has 3 princes. All 3 that want to fuck the red head. Also their is death and other regular fucked up stuff in this series.
The red head is supposed to kill the king via poison. She is part of this country which trains women in the art of poison calling them poison princesses. It's messed up shit. Since birth they are given small doses of poison. Like in their milk. Or their bed sheets. To the point that when they are adult-ish They are basically a walking killing machine. The air they exhale is poisonous, their tears are poisonous and any body fluid that touches another person will kill them in a minute. Its fucked up stuff.
Now this all sounds awesome. And badass but its done so poorly. The series isn't even about assassination mission either Despite being the main plot point. The series is more about the 3 brothers with their own personal issues. The eldest being the crown prince. The middle child who is meant to taste test everything for the crown prince and the youngest who just fucks about but is also a mega genius obviously. Its more their story and she happens to be a caught up in it.
Honestly when this series stops being about the main heroine and more about the brothers in the later half is when this series got much better. Their is this political rivarly and assassinations against other people, a very tiny war arc and other historical bad ass moments. The romance felt incredibly flat. But it wasn't really the main focus anyway.
The first half kinda sucked though. Felt too edgy and they did this thing where you would see the same thing over and over again but in different points of view. So i read the same chapter for an entire volume and learned 10% more instead of the author creating just 1 chapter and explaining stuff properly. It also had the opposite in the very first volume where the author dumped tons and tons of exposition.
TLDR: 2nd half was better when they didn't focus on the princess. Overall it became much better. Was gonna give it a 6 despite the weak start but the ending was, cliche(?), or weak lets say. 5/10

I didn’t hate it but it’s not my cup of tea FOR SURE. Everything happened so quickly after the first few chapters that I felt like the emotional connections between most of the characters (except the servant and Lyco) were not well developed and expressed. The plot line was super different from what I usually read. It was definitely not cliche whatsoever; it was hard for me to “predict” what was going to happen next. In conclusion, this was an okay manga but I did not develop an emotional attachment to the characters but the plot line was super different and interesting.

The plot really draws you right in, and the art is so gorgeous. I highly recommend this if you enjoy something a little dark and gothic. The characters are well thought-out - I don't know about realistic, but it was a short enjoyable read nonetheless.

The plotline was intruiging, the characters were memorable and pacing was pretty good except for the last few chapters, which for me felt just a little rushed. The strongest point of this manga is the story and art, but the characters felt like they didn't have enough development aside from one or two people. The romance angle felt a bit lacking as well.
I think the manga would have been better off being a few chapters longer in order to flesh out the characters better

It takes a blunt look at the dark desires people have. Obsession, betrayal, psychopathy...oh, and I also like the mystery in trying to figure out which of the three had which fate.
I really liked Mao x Lycoris though...was a disappointment how his story ended. A little bit OOC, but I guess defeat makes him do strange things.

Because I didn't like the way the story was developing.... sometime later when I couldn't find anything I wanted to read I retook it out of boredom. And I ended up liking the story despise having so much tragedy in it.
I need more...

This is easily one of the best mangas I've ever read - thought-provoking, complex plot, interesting characters, even more interesting interactions, great pacing, gorgeous art -> dayum, this scores high on my standards.
A story is full of tension, tragedy is terrifyingly gradual, just....a rollercoaster ride of emotions (though it's more in the sad lane). Most unfortunately, I've only found 30 english-translated chapters so far, and I've been waiting for months for an update. Why? Why torture me like this?
I hope the almost perfect storytelling won't lose its luster - like in most relatively long-running mangas.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.
The mystery slowly unravels itself every chapter, and there's something heartwrenchingly sad about the Poison Princess and Kait (and even Hal and Mao - the other princes, sometimes), that's how good MIHARA Mitsukazu is at crafting these characters - makes me connect to them so well!
Depending on your ability to withstand the dark nature of the story and a little bit of gore and cut off legs and arms and injuries, your opinion may be affected.
I would have given this manga an absolute 10, if the perspective of the manga was not so random in some chapters, leaving it with a somewhat disjunct feeling, as well as the random disappearance of the boy in the first few chapters. D:
A VERY RECOMMENDED READ OVERALL.

None of that cliche crud, with plot twists and some degree of unpredictability. Pretty dark, so it's good for those who like slightly gothic stories. I personally ADORE this manga, the plot is tied together well and the emotions and loneliness expressed by the characters is believeable and moving. There's foreshadowing and symbolism, much of the good stuff you would expect from a novel.
The beginning is an introduction to the poison princesses, but as the story progresses you will get into the actual plot, which becomes more about conspiracies and politics. Higly recommended read.

This manga is dark. I'm not that acquainted with Josei manga, but I think this will probably be a good reader for Josei lovers out there.
The notion of a human being who embodied the literal usage and meaning of poison--is very curious.
I was taken aback when the story suddenly change in perspectives. Sort of disappointed because I was growing attached to the first introduced heroin...But I think it's sort of necessary to show the weight of the situation these poison princesses are in...
