Story wise, it's not something worth talking about as it's a bit cliche but despite that, you would still continue reading it. It's something that isn't boring to read and the characters are great. I'm in love with this manga!!

Not Bad But Not For Me

I liked the way it started but by the time we were introduced to the baby (in the first chapter) the feeling of the story was already starting to lose it for me. This story is more about the humour and short scenarios than about creating a plot that flows based on well-formed characters and basically it wasn't for me. The comedy wasn't the style I like and it was really the driving factor of the story. So, if you like the humour in this, you'll probably like it, but if you don't, like me, it will probably just drag for you.

I'm the type of person who likes to finish what I start, but after slugging through 8 chapters, I really had to put this one away. Honestly. I don't read yaoi for "realistic" stories, but I couldn't help but continuously think that I wish this one had been slightly more realistic, probably because the scenarios presented were just so outside of what would actually happen and it kept dragging me out of the story and irking me. (Stories are meant to keep you enthralled in their world, not continuously remind you that you're spending time reading them!)

Ultimately, my recommendation is this: if the story sounds interesting to you, try it. If you like it, enjoy! If, after a few chapters you're not feeling it at all and you're waiting for it to get better, just drop it. The way the storytelling is at the beginning seems to continue to at least the second volume.

Okay, it is a little bizarre in places (like when the baby first shows up...), and a little cliche in places, but I was surprised to find out that I really enjoyed it. I thought the characters were cute, the baby was adorable (and weirdly tiny), and I had a good time with pretty much the whole thing. If there was more, I'd read it.

Also, it has the stereotypical thing where one of the guys is more resistant to the relationship and thinks the other may leave. However, it actually makes more sense in this story than in any other I've read (the guy who is a bit more insecure was abandoned by his whole family). So it didn't bother me in the least.

And I don't agree with the complaints about the art. I thought it was very nice art. It's not my favorite of all time, but it's pretty.

I really love characters that are scared to be abandoned yet aren't totally clingy! And then you have the seme that is very sweet and understanding, reassuring the uke without being asked so. The baby part isnt very realistic as well as many other things but they are quite easy to look past. I liked the art, and this is coming from someone who is VERY picky about art, if I don't like the art I quit the manga immediately. The art wansn't amazing so don't get your hopes up about that but it's not put offing, just average. The characters are really nice and its quite a nice short passtime.

For some reason this manga turned out to be rather adorable. You have a character that has lost pretty much everything and is so lonely that he doesn't want to be left alone and then you have another character that can only stand by and keep supporting said first character until he realizes that he is not alone.

I wonder what the next 4vl are about.

I was actually surprised - from the synopsis and my past experience with this type of plot, I was expecting a light, fluffy, forgettable manga - but it actually has a lot of depth to the characters, and the story is unexpectedly angsty/sweet.

And of all the childcare yaoi I've read, probably the least cheesy

I personally like the art a lot, it isn't the usual, but it is expressive and appealing.

"Dont be turned on by a baby - you fail as a human being" <--- I think i died xD That, outside of context sounds very very bad, but in the manga it'll make you pee yourself laughing.

*Clears throat* anyway this is super hilarious as far as manga's go. Its very light hearted and fun. I really need to read the rest of this, im addicted to the humour and besides i really just want to know what happens. Such a cute story so far!

to me... i think the art is fine, its not to sketchy or anything like that & while i have seen this kind of story before i kind of find this one hard to believe (and yes, i know i shouldn't be looking for realism in BL... foolish me!) if Hisui really was abandoned wouldn't social services picked him up? or the bar been bought by someone? ... so many questions...

Have to agree with Trifoilum on the art, it took a while for me to get used to, but once I did I liked it. Frankly there is much worse art out there.
Apart from that, I loved it, I've always been a sucker for the childhood friend situation (with exceptions, of course). Throw in a baby and it got me hooked! The baby is obviously used as the catalyst for the growing romance between the two friends, but he is also adorable to look at in the story. The plot is nice and angsty, especially as we see the playboy gradually emerge from his shell and fall for the childhood friend.
Overall, pretty nice, would recommend it especially if you like romantic stories with children thrown in! (as I do)

The manga is, despite all the cliched idea, pretty interesting in execution. The characters are fun to read.

The only minus part is its art. Just...that.
