Description

From Dark Horse:
Captured and isolated against their will, the Diclonius species are a threat waiting to break free. When a young Diclonius girl, Nyu, escapes from the research facility she was being held in, she manages to find solace in two allies until danger seeks her out, putting everyone at risk. Good originality, theme, and setting. Sadly as story goes, too much plot gone to waste. I could say failed plot development and character development. Story twist mights seems good, but there is only few good counter plot solution to it.

The protagonist seems to be doing nothing from my perspective (yet miraculously accomplish something) , even towards the end (except for finishing). Only few character got significant character development. Plot development revolve more upon the 'surrounding' rather than the 'character development' so much that if you were to analyze it properly, sometimes it will seems illogical here and there, especially with the development.

At first I put much hope in this manga, but it eventually failed my expectation. Art is changing as story goes, but on overall almost stay on the same level. Nevertheless, if you got nothing to read, might pick this one up as side manga.

Rather than one whole story, it would be nicer if they are separate stories with different character each time revolving around a main plot. The author is indeed great (I like some parts of it), just that this work seems to be rushed or not properly planned.

One F**ked Up Awesome manga

Like my subject states this one f**ked up awesome manga, and yes, really tragic as well. Blood, gore, utter violence, nudity; whats not to like.

Anyway, charater development was key in this one, considering the fact that someone will ramdomly die when you least expect it, and how the story molds around the characters keeps it entertaining to readers. The ending didn't leave major holes to plug up and it didn't leave a sour taste in my mouth.

I can't dub this the greatest thing you will ever read but i can tell you that you won't waste your time.

Wow. Even months after reading this, I still think about it. GREAT story and the only complaint I have about it is the ending but it is a tragedy so it has to have a tragic ending... My favorite manga maybe of all time..(maybe)

this manga is awsome, i picked it up because i watched the anime and its still one of my all time favorite animes. it has a beginning and an end, leaves good message. admittedly it was rather tragic manga but i loved it anyways. artwork is awsome.

i really cant talk more about it without spoiling it

I just finished reading so i might be biased by the great ending. its rare when i say both the anime and the manga were great. i cant go into too much detail without handing out spoilers so I'll just say some minor things. this manga has an effective conclusion, its rare when i get to the end and feel content. the end did seem abrupt but i should have expected an ending similar to the anime's.

if you've got a day off from work or school i recomend flipping through this series, its 12 volumes long and a good read.

loved it to death. Both the anime and the manga. The anime was wonderfully animated and soundtracked, the manga explained more... kinda.

Plot-wise The anime had a bit too little though, and the manga had bit too much, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it on a whole.

This is certainly a very dark manga and one that is hard for many readers for a number of reasons. Not to mention that, in the end, it is a tragedy. And yet, it is good. Scary and hard, but good. Do not be discouraged if you find your self unable to continue reading. It is okay. If you put it down, you don't even have to pick it up again. But do not call it bad, for it is not. It is simply dark, to a point that it's almost unbearable.

A tragedy in all its extent...

This manga is composed with several different ingredients: powerful telekinetic abilities only found on women, nudity touching the line of soft hentai, a high degree of violence and gore, characters' background full of trauma and angst, and a bit of triangular romance for the enjoyment of the story.

All in all, this is a very dark and depressing story about freedom and finding a place (for the protagonist) in the world. The story is well handled to keep you reading and it has its very intense moments. I found it was relatively easy to empathize with most of the characters and the artwork is fine. The ending (for the protagonist) is quite shocking, between pitying and depressing, but the epilogue really makes it up (her wish was fulfilled).

The only reason for not giving a higher rating was on how obvious it was that the author pretended to extend artificially the series without a logical reasoning or normal flow (characters that appear on chapter X and die on chapter X+3 which served to no purpose whatsoever 😕 , give me a break...). Nevertheless do not get me wrong, it is by all means a very good manga... given you are fine with the blood and gore.

Sure the art work isnt the best, the characters sometimes are to stiff, and there is alot of violence. But I still think this is one of the most breath taking manga I ever have read. The plot is excellent, and everything is well thought. The story really touched me, and the ending almost made me cry.

Read this manga for its darn enjoyable story, and if you manege too see past the violance and the lousy art work, I think you ll be able to love it as much as I did.

I tried to get into this, I really did. And honestly, it wasn't the blood and gore (which is ridiculous at times, like arms and legs and heads taken off), or the ecchi stuff. I just couldn't relate to or care about the characters. It just seems like random violence plus ecchi junk (like a girl being raped by her father), with nothing to show for it. Meaning, it seemed like it had no redeeming qualities or moral. Anyway, just my take.
